You can simply bring Alistair for tanking, Wynne for healing, and any other companion you wish. Only takes like 5 secs to kill if you let the tank tank it and healer keep heals, buffs, and hexes up. Then simply let your other 2 wack at it and it's down in seconds.

OUCH!! Man , that dragon really kick the butt of your party. Sorry to say but this is very bad strategy ...for everyone my opinion is you need to use the size of the main hall because when the dragon use aoe skill then there is pretty chance not to effect every member of your party...let one member or an animal be let´s say a tank thats very risky because as you can see here that dragon is really high dps so if you use this stratgy you will have to spend a lots of healing poitons. :)
I see you like unorthodox ranger tactics. Here is one I think you could use on a video: In this dungeon there is a hard undead boss mage surrounded by about 10 sceletons. He is at the bottom of a large staircase. You can range him and he won't even see you. I had to try it once or twice though to get it right.
