@KrellLab Obama, Bush before him, Clinton before him and so on have different priorities to the heady days of the 1950s and 1960s when there was a struggle of ideology between east and west. With the defeat of Soviet communism, the USA shifted focus to other things. Landing a man on the Moon will not defeat Al Qaeda. The Apollo Program (with Gemini before it) was very much a weapon of the Cold War as the strategic nuclear arsenal and the MAD balance that kept it in check.
Still holding my breath, waiting for the past we should have had.
