i don't know. i want to like his stuff but i can't. all the 6/8, 3/4time jig-style stuff sounds the same to me. i like ulver's take on the neo-classical/folk theme, but everything else sounds like the musicians are trying too hard. i've listened to the "darker" october falls, empyrium, drudkh as well, but i have the same opinion. I like some of eivor palsdotttir's traditional stuff. keep it simple and heartfelt.
