Oh I remember my brother and I as schoolkids sat doing our homework as the sun was going down and literally the moon s d stars were beginning to show and this coming on the radio. Takes me right back and the magic never fades. Love this song. .

Fat Larry used to live in Sicklerville NJ, back in 1977-79[ roughly] and as a kid we used to listen to him practice in his garage. I really miss times like that. RIP LARRY

@Rukia212002 It was from the 1982 christmas special, diamonds are for heather. Uncle Albert wasn't in the show then, it was still grandad. And the music played in the scenes with Del & Heather (and her son) going on dates and generally being all loved up......

@mrslondon450 Commordores did their own version of Zoom but I Will always love fat larrys bands version of this song,the lead singer has such a great voice,I love his voice.a pop group called Scooch covered Zoom back in (2000).it was not released as a single.its in their album of Four Sure,its a great effort and a great cover version.I don't know if anyone will agree with me.but i quite liked it. and also John Adedye performed this song in The X Factor.
