People are too hard on this interviewer. I think he sounds the way he does because he's self-conscious about his English (especially talking to Mikael, who obviously speaks really excellent English). He's very good at getting Mike to open up and talk freely.

that was cool. i wonder who mike was referring to when he said "our sound engineer was a drunk" when he was describing the reasons why he didnt enjoy recording delieverence/damnation on vid 4? steve wilson from porcupine tree produced both those albums - i wonder if it was him he was referring to? i dont imagine that steve is an alcoholic, especially seeing mike names him as an ongoing influence.

no he wasn´t reffering to SW.

initially SW wasn´t the producer on those records,he jumped in after a while when the band decided to break their collaboration with the first producer.

Saw all parts. What an amazing interview. Only thing I would suggest that you should have done was talk a little more about his playing and not his career. He is an amazing guitarist, and I would like to know especially more about his guitar influences, how he approaches practice etc etc, just you know a min or so that could influence the guitarists a little bit :P

I am a Christian and I still can enjoy his music. I don't take the lyrics literally at all. However, I do make use of his lyrics to support my faith and know there really is a devil and he does seek to devour!

That interviewer was a pain in the ass though and you could tell Mikael thought so. "If anyone asked why i would kick his ass"... i think that was for the benefit of the interviewer haha... Love this guy.
