  • @pianomanmaestro

Hello.Thank you for watching my video and for giving me a nice comment.

Yes,this BLI engine is very well made in detail and I love this model.

  • Great video.. What a pity that it can pull 5 cars only. In real, I read, they pulled 14 cars! I have a BLI N&W 1218, and it is very strong. Strangr thing. Anyway good luck

  • @02081912Frabas

Hello.Yes I am afraid this BLI made engine is too light to pull many passenger cars.I put rubber rings on wheels and it came out better

  • @houtokur8

5 cars only? Something's wrong here. Maybe your track needs cleaning? Look at my video of my 'pimped' Hudson - she's pulling more than 40 cars and having a ball!

  • @limosalimosa

Hello.Thank you for watching my videos.I also enjoyed your train videos.

As you say there's something wrong with my track. And I don't have enough coaches suitable for this engine.

  • where did you get that engine!

  • Hello, thank you for watching my video and for asking me a question.

This engine is made by the Broadway Limited and I got it at the Factory Direct Trains.

  • I e-mailed them to see when they had more in stock. The cool thing is that I am going on vacation to ashville at the start of summer so I might be able to pick one up then.

  • @ssstnh1996

Hello,That's great! You would be able to get one then.

  • Hi, I'm getting a new one to replace the defective engine. I hope the new one runs as well as yours. Have you tried the MTH ho scale?

  • Hello,

That's good to know that you are getting a new engine! Yes, I have two MTH HO steam engines,Triplex and UP #9000. They are well made but drive wheels of #9000 slip very badly and can not pull more than five cars.

If you like, you can watch my videos of those locos on my YouTube channel.

  • Hello again,

I thought you would like to know I recieved a new replacement locomotive. It runs perfectly and smokes very well. Good luck with your pike!

  • Hi, Thanks for your help. I'm sending my back. I took a close look at mine and the small fan motor is not working to puff out the smoke. Best of luck and keep those engines rolling!

  • Hello,

That's too bad! Are you going to send your engine back to the factory? I hope you will get it back soon.

    Good luck!

  • Did you have any problems with your smoke unit? I can not get mine to work. I added 8 drops of ther fluid, turn on the switch and f-7. I was just wondering if I'm doing somthing wrong. Thanks

  • Hello. Thank you for watching my video.

I think it takes quite long before the engine puffs smoke. Why don't you make it run fast for about five minutes and push F7 button?

I am afraid this engine is too light to pull more than five passenger cars.

  • This is an impressive model especially considering that it is in HO scale. How often do you have to refill the smoke fluid if you leave it on all the time?

  • Thank you for watching my video.

I am afraid that the fullfilled smoke fluid lasts only five-six minutes at slow speed .

  • Hello.I am afraid the same accident will happen to this locomotive. We have to be very carefull to prevent it overheating. We need to refill smoke fluid once in while.

  • great vid!

I'm curious, the description says this model has a "quillable" whistle. Do you think you could make a video showing what it sounds like? Nobody else has bothered to show a video of it.

  • Hello.Thank you for watching my video.

I have not tried a "quillable" whistle since I do not know it. Let me test the engine and I will show you a video with sound

  • Hello.I am sorry I couldn't make "quillable" whistle sound because my DCC commander unfortunately doesn't have F22 key.

  • none of them do. I think you have to re-map your function keys. I don't know how because I don't have this engine, but I know it's in the instruction manual somewhere.

Sorry to bother you, but nobody else seems to want to use this feature.

  • Hello.Thank you for watching my video.

According to the BLI catalog,as you know, three different horn sounds are equipped, air horn, steam whistle - both the main whistle and alternate can be easily played.

However,I played only steam whistle and don't know how other whistles sound like yet

    .

  • these old time cars are by Roundhouse, right? Do they feature interiors?

  • Hello.Yes,these passenger cars are made by Roundhouse.I am afraid these cars are inexpensive and they do not have interios.

  • Looks & sounds great!

  • Yes!! I am sure that this BLI steam engine is really different from other existing models.

  • That's so epic! It looks like an O-Gauge model with the smoke!

  • Yes,it looks and sounds like an O-Gauge loco, yet it is an amazing HO model.

  • Exactly! And still accurate to the prototype.

  • that was an awesome steam engine!

  • Hello!!

Yes,I was so impressed by this loco.
