I like what he says about moving people instead of moving food. Let's get all those niggers out of the desert over in Africa, then. That makes more sense to me than just trying to keep sending them food.
HAHAHA! I checked to see if you were doing this on all the videos and you are. Really, get a hold of yourself Adina/Empress. We saw you at the retreat and you really should try for Dr. Latham's advice about keeping mentally healthy. You are not behaving as an empress. Think about it!

I agree with Aris it is how native americans lived, they migrated, the Cherokee anyway, and they had forests of chestnut trees and other foods. I love coconuts, I used to want to go to Belize, maybe to eat coconuts, but really for the drums.
He is right. 'raw food' has such a mass of negative connotations surrounding it.. as soon as I tell someone i eat 'raw food', they always think im completely fucked up.. whereas if I just said 'fresh food' i'm sure things would be very very different... Ima try that from now on.
dehydrated food = healthy cooked food; a dehydrated cracker is as healthy as organic wholegrain bread for example. To me there is no such thing as dehydrated *raw* food! That's a paradox!!
yeah sometimes, its a great way of preserving the foods but this topic has been on mind for a while now, I would say its always best to get fresh juicy foods with all the water content intact, eatting the foods the way God has given the foods to us! :)
I sure DO! Finished up a batch of Apple-Cinnamon-Almond Buckwheat Grawnola earlier today lol
I don't think it's necessary and can actually cause constipation if I don't drink enough liquids, but I do enjoy dehydrated foods on occasions.
I try to eat 50-75% raw everyday, and while some foods I've learned to juice (like potatoes) I remember Adam and Eve didn't have a juicer, but they did have fire. My goal is to eliminate processed sweeteners and food. My last month of gluten free cereal :)

I live in Toronto, Canada. We have serious health problems like more MS cases and diabetes and all that good stuff. I started buying only fresh bio foods and got a mix of powedered smoothie mix that includes spirulina and all that... What else can we do here? BTW: I was diagnosed with MS 18 years ago and take no medications and feel amazing but I think health foods is only part of the wellbeing equation: Attitude is a big part of health.
I don't dehydrate or blend. I juice and eat whole foods. But when I get to go to a raw vegan restaurant I get dehydrated foods sometimes and buy raw crackers at the health food store...as treats.
agree with topstot. You shouldn't eat dehydrated foods. it is best to eat fruit fresh, as drying and dehydrating concentrat fruit sugars to an unnatural level that the body is not designed to handle. it is also important to eat fruit while, not juiced, as the fiber in fruit slows sugar absorption to its natural speed. in all cases and with all foods, whole, fresh, ripe, raw, and unprocessed is the way to go.
not to get picky cos i looooove coconuts too and have to live somewhere with them but i just did some research and apart from having a good source of calories, if you have a few a day 2-300 in a litre...they re predominantly omega 6 protein .48g per 250ml (2g/L) which is over RDA of 1.4...with what we know about ratios we dont want to out wiegh our 6's too much so keep the greens coming to balance them out....most fruit are equal. never dehydrate, but may eat raisins/apricots sometimes and SDT's
I eat dehydrated buckwheat everyday, thats all I eat that is dehydrated, all the rest is fresh, fruit and veggies, but i mostly eat fruit. Seriously if people keep saying dehydrated food is bad for you and fruit is bad for you , there wont be anything left to eat on this world, whats left vegetables? whos going to survive on just veggiesO.o Eat dehydrated foods, its raw and healthy, its not like your eating cooked food that all they enzymes are dead
This is devoid of informational content. How about addressing the issue and that is how are dehydrated foods less in nutritional value than fresh? Enzymes? vitamins? How important are those enzymes? and so on.
waterless foods are misproportionate and do not steadily reduce nutrients into the system through dilution. according to Doug Graham...its like eating candy, raisins are high sugar, calorie, nutrient but spike blood levels cos of low water.
Absolutely I eat dehydrated food. I eat half raw and half cooked... Mostly all green... I am cutting down on things like raw nuts, avacado, high sugar fruits... I think body type applies even if you are on a raw food diet. He might be able to eat a lot of high sugar fruits, but not me. My body doesn't like all that high sugar, regardless of whether it is raw or cooked...
I always enjoy talks with Aris Latham. I dont have a dehydrator but I have had a dehydrated snack every now and then. But that is the least of my food issues. But if you are striving for more raw I do feel like too much dehydrated foods make you feel weight down and sometimes sleepy.
i dont see a problem with dehydrators. i do dehydrate my foods. i dont like his definition of raw lol. raw food has enzymes. he has interesting views.
Never had dehydrated food. I do like how he says fresh food as opposed to raw. can you imagine if everyone went south. think your city is over crowded now? ;)
No dehydrator in my house.....only eat fresh greens like kale, spinach, cilantro, parsley, romaine, clover sprouts, avocado, berries, apples, tree ripened fruits or none at all, cucumbers, celery, dulse by the truckload, raw cider vinegar, sea salts, coconuts......seems to be all I need to live....and a few cacao beans to munch on raw. No dehydrated food, nuts or seeds, beans or grains, no animal anything. He doesn't seem arrogant.....he just cool!
I do live in Alaska (working towards traveling during winter months) and cannot process sugars well...I use a dehydrater to make crackers from my juice fiber and sprouted flax and sunflower seeds...but it is more of a treat than the bulk of my diet: fresh veg, green juice and superfood elixers...occasionally to warm up soup
Haha, well thanks for the support. I don't care if I get thumbs down. I just would like for someone to speak their mind. I am not infallible and have often been shown my error.
I did not say the man was arrogant. I said he didn't sound arrogant in this video to me. I thought he sounded convicted.
I also said I struggle with pride. I do.
I said we all sin. We do.
The only other thing you can disagree with is God and that would be bold but unfortunately common.

Dehydration is inferior to sun-dried but superior to baking or cooking in anyother ways.
Why did people cook ina the first place? To make the food last longer. Storage.

I really did not pick up on his arrogant vibe that you feel but let's hope his heart is not of arrogance. I too struggle with pride. We all sin.

Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD; Though they join forces, none will go unpunished.
