The point is, in Genesis it says specifically that God created the heavens AND the EARTH. You should check it out sometime for yourself instead of relying on what everyone else is saying. I am an atheist because I fail to see any effect of god in this world. Christians tend to hold onto the success stories that could have easily happened by chance, but forget the suffering faced by those that aren't "touched by god".

And it's also prooved that the books in the Old Testament are older than Jesus but they talk about him.

i get that everyone finds the idea of God something worth sharing their opinion on, but can't you just enjoy the song? no matter what you "are"?
i'm an atheist, and i hav my reasons, but i see no reason for that to effect my taste-or that i love this song. so quarrel on your own time, and just enjoy how awesome this song makes you feel

I believe thunderf00t sums up the whole unevolved ape thing quite well. The reasonm there are still unevolved apes is the same reason that Americans came from Europe, and yet there are still Europeans. Humans are not drastically evolving because it would take millions of years for the sort of thing.

The reason why the world is like how it is with war and starvation is because of us humans, we made the Earth a fallen place,God gave the Earth to us, why is it God's fault that we do not take care of what belongs to us? and God didn't betray us we betrayed him, yet he still loves us, God provides for us Christians every need, my family is really poor, but we live like were wealthy! He does make miricles, you just have to notice.

well I've kinda kept this to myself for sometime but I believe in God up to a point. Might not make sense but sorry. I believe in him but I don't believe in everything the same way Christians do. I'm not sure if I'd still be considered Christian though... Pirate, what you are saying is that you don't believe God created the earth like everyone says He did? Well, it's not just everyone saying it like it's a rumor or something. The point is, in Genesis it says specifically that God created the heavens AND the EARTH. You should check it out sometime for yourself instead of relying on what everyone else is saying. Its the very first verse in the very first chapter. Look it up

I am an Atheist. Not because Science has a better argument, in fact Scientifically it makes perfect sense that god exists.
I am an atheist because I fail to see any effect of god in this world. Christians tend to hold onto the success stories that could have easily happened by chance, but forget the suffering faced by those that aren't "touched by god".
If you want something done, it must be done by man. We can't rely on god to fix the world. We must do it ourselves.

Not to be rude, but maybe you haven't noticed that man has domaine of the earth. God gave it to us to rule. You say we must do it ourselves? When you see the human race fix all the problems of the world let me know. I'd love to see that happen. All man has ever done is create turmoil for itself. I also don't rely on what I see going on in the world. I simply to CHOOSE to believe in God. It's not about seeing.

We live by faith and not by sight egibbs. That's what the word tells us. Now regarding the pastor's scandal, unfortunatley, you are right about this. One thing to consider is that it just shows that we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. It shows that even though they are pastors, they are also human as well. This does not excuse them what so ever.They need forgivness just as we need it. Lets pray for them instead of condemn them.

Actually it isn't the size of a period. The scientists think that just before the "Big Bang the entire universe was the roughly the size of a large beach ball with an infinite desity. But if no natural force can create or destroy matter then where did it come from? Ask that to an evolutionist and see if they figure the answer out.

yeah people need to start being realistic about everything especially like people came from monkey or any evolution what so ever. IF something was created through a tiny cell where did that cell come from. see scientist have no proof of anything being created by itself. GOD is the only answer to all the questions and not a single piece of prehistoric science is true. The world isnt even 8000 years old so scientists are a fake. =0

Actually there is one thing they did get right. We like all living animals evolved. But the type of evolution I'm talking about is the microevolution, or adaptation. We adjusted to our environment. Like an eskimo would burn up in Florida and a person from Florida would freeze in Alaska. We change/evolve due to our environ ment.

You can still be logic and believe in God. There are points in life where logic just doesn't seems to work. It is better to find God in what you do know instead of what you don't know. I you use God as the conclusion instead of the why then your bound to be disappointed

Wonders?? Science was created by a man. I'm talking about Charles Darwin. He was studying to be a minister when his daughter died and threw his life away. And it's not religion it's a relationship. You think you know all because you studied alittle. The simple complexity of a simple cell remindes me that there is a God and He is greater than science. Maybe this will help. When you see a building down town, you know that someone created it. Who? You don't see him. You don't know him. But guess what? The buildings there,therefore you know that someone created it. It didn't just appear out of no where. Just something to think about. I could not imagine going through life thinking that there was no hope for me.
