  • Thank you so much for sharing this treasure. I enjoyed it very much.

  • "Don't be saps for Pappy." "Vote Stokes brother."

  • really like Carter Family

  • "Mother" Maybelle Carter was definitely a huge influence on Johnny Cash when they toured together - keep it in the family.

  • I wonder how modern music would sound wtihout this.....

  • I'm glad that this old recording exists, and in such good condition! Thanks very much for posting, and thanks to Chiselnyc for the share.

  • You have good taste. This is one of the most important recordings in folk or country music history. Phenomenal find.

  • I get it and , U are the best. Thanks sir

  • Thanks for sharing this old recording of the Carter family from 1928! Great music from one of the earliest performing country music family.

  • Awesome video, awesome player, thanks !

  • Thanks for the history!

  • I'm not big on bluegrass, but I'm astounded by the sound quality of this record. I have some 78s from that time period and most are tinny. They didn't have a definitive RIAA curve in the early days of electric recording, which probably has to do with that

  • Nice going Zefrenm!

Your work is really in the spirit of the internet!

  • Thanks so much for sharing this, such a treasure!

  • The Carters lived in Bristol, Tennessee, which was the birthplace of country music.

  • Johnny Cash and June Carter did a great remake of this song.

  • Excellent! Thank you.
