all of you basically got it wrong. they use green to key out cuz green is the color less seen in human skin. u can use any other color for keying as long as it doesn't effect the things u want to keep in the scene (ex: superman). u can use blue (it spills less)which is also less seen in skin but superman has blue in his suit it doesn't matter what blue it is-he is shaded. so blue is out. the only other color u can use for keying is black,but u can c the problem with that. this why BG is green.

The only good scene in the movie was the plane rescue scene which again was just a re-done version of the first movie, and plus also remember that singer even managed to ruin that by having Superman stand there while people applaud him! Like if he needed people to do that to make him feel wanted.

actually not only the cape was cgi but all of superman in flight was cgi, the viseo of green screen was not used because after a few takes brandons eyes became blood shot from the air being blown in his face and he would flinch alot in his face so they did a good cgi superman for about 90% of superman when he isnt on the ground.
