  • those wmg losers seriously need to get a life.

  • Connie Hawkins is still the best baller the ABA ever had

  • fuck wmg

  • Bob Costas said it best. The NBA was pop music, the ABA was jazz.

  • Mack Calvin Big Zelmo Louie Dampier Bad News Barnes Steve Jones Dan Issel ...Red Auerbach knew that the ABA had surpassed the NBA as far as talent...He was just up to his mind games as always...I miss that real basketball so much....Read LOOSE BALLS by Terry Pluto about the ABA....one of the greatest sports books of all time

  • SWEET!

  • rick barry was already an established player in the NBA. He was the first star to jump to the ABA. in 1966-67 season he was the NBA's leading scorer at 35.7ppg breaking Wilt Chamberlain's 8 year stranglehold on the scoring title.

  • WIlt was asked to score less, thats the only reason Barry broke it his stranglehold

  • Think about all the GREAT players that the ABA put into the NBA. Rick Barry, Spencer Haywood, Moses Malone, George ICEMAN Gervin, Maurice Lucas, Artis Gilmore, Dan Issel, Don Buse, John Williamson, David SKYWALKER Thompson, Charlie Scott, Marvin Webster, Larry Mr. K Kenon, Bobby Jones, Billy Cunningham, George McGinnis, Julius Dr. J Erving! I'll take Moses Malone, Dr J, Rick Barry, David Thompson and Iceman Gervin and beat anyone the NBA had to offer at the time.

  • That was great. The ABA rejuvenated the gameplay of the NBA. They were depicted as inferior players, the old cigar Red Auerbach called Erving "just another small forward." Well Red, what do you think of Doc's career now and the ABA?
