Anyone else have trouble rolling their lips that long? This is the first time I've done liprolls, and it's hard to maintain for long periods of time/particularly low notes.
@mark88bon i know wat u mean. its sucks. Above A4 i have no notes ,i got only 4 notes in falsetto E4-A4. In chest i go E2-C4 nd pull chest to D#4 thats it.I manage to hit a whistle note 1 time comfortably never got it again my voice cuts off A4. Most songs i like to sing is high nd singing it in a lower key doesn't feel the same like P Bryson Luther Vandross Mariah Beyonce ect Hopefully i'll cross that bridge
how long should you practice a day? I'm 16, male, and I'm not that good but I made a goal; by the time I'm 19 Ide like to be a really good singer. I like Indie rock like arctic monkeys, the kooks. It's something that I've always wanted to do
As a bass for me its hard to keep up with him. I hear a lot people saying that they wished they had a little bit more weight in their voice. I would commit a murder to be a lyric tenor like he is. I did a lot of excersises and i got better but its still not that natural for me to sing in the tenor range.
@exesfr it should tell you in the pack.but i did the first exercise disc on the way to and from work everyday but Thursday.then played just music on Friday after a warm up, then had the weekend off.
but it depends on the person and the pace. never go beyond your comfort zone. its about consistency not effort.
@exesfr it's probably going to be different for everyone but I do a lesson a day, if I struggle with it then I'll do it again the next day. Only when I'm comfortable with it do I move onto the next one
I've got a question? What kind of tenor is Brett Manning. A low tenor, a "normal" tenor or a high tenor. I thought he was a lyric tenor. But that's quite high right. Cause his speaking voice sounds quite low (young jack nicholson like) or is he just talking low in his voice.
@fuckingbrill No they seem different. Singing is speaking on pitch so your voice stays the same. Only when you sing you might sing in a higher range or use your voice different from way you talk. So it may seem different.
@mark88bon Look at Mariah Carey. Her speaking voice is about deep mezzo or even contralto, but her singing voice is light soprano. Beyonce's singing voice is also deeper and lower than singing voice.
why are these scales/arpeggios so fast? is like a race

@Wesslynn Do you like Brad Paisley? He's low voice, like in the song Then. If you can do that song you're still doing good.
