Man, was Jim Varney hilarious in those commercials! I lived in the Phoenix area in the mid 1980's when he was on doing commercials for a local TV affiliate. My co-workers and I were always laughing about the newest "Vern and Ernest" commercial that was on. "Arrrrr-i-zona Favorites, Vern- on TV5! Tattoo that on your brain, Vern! Classic!
