Gilles to me is an everlasting icon, just like Francois Delecour and Jean Ragnotti. I trully love his driving. He should have been World champion.

The Fia Should make cars run according to F2 regulations. but this time with a minumum weight of 500-400 kg, with power up to/around 400-500 hp at 12,000-20,000 rpm or more. And they should all feature both a manual transmission and 4WD. That would be awesome!!!!

Yes I know what you're thinking, what I'am saying sounds crazy. But Hey F1 did ran cars that weighed between 500kg and 600 kg over the years. What I am saying is that the FIA would have to create a new class (category) for WRC cars. They probably should introduce a prototype class like they do at both Le Mans and the Dakar Rally, but to certain restrictions regarding power and weight.

This class did exist in the 80s, before you were born!

Group B had a weight class as low as 820 kg which the Renault 5 Turbo was built for while the 600hp 4WD monsters had a weight limit of 890 kg. They banned them for several reasons a) they were so fast they needed to introduce a 'superlicense' like in F1 but didn't b) they made F1 look like shit and started pulling manufactures out of F1 and into rally c) Kevlar and 1000C turbos don't mix well in huge crashes in remote locations.
