Try not to let your dachshunds jump up the side of the tub like that. There's not very much to grip with on the bottom/sides of a bath tub and they can not only slip and possibly risk knee/elbow and even spine injuries. Having them swim/wade is good for them, but not in a bath tub. For bathing, try using a shower head, if you have one, rather than filling the tub, and keep one hand on your pup at all times. It will help keep them calm :]

Oh, so cute. We actually bathe our Dachsies in the sink, and they're less scared that way, since they're closer to you. They still can't wait to get out, tho ^^;

Word of advice: Dachshund's spines are long. Don't let them keep trying to jump and get out like that. Someday It will damage their spine. That happened to my dachsie when She did that, and going up the steps alot.

That's kinda sad. I wonder if they think that the water's gonna keep filling up until they drown. Just a thought. Not one of those "ANIMAL CRUELTY!!11!!1" people or anything. Maybe they'd feel better if you the water was already in the bath tub. Maybe I don't know.

@lasoogneypubes Doxies tend to do this jumping and crying when they are given a bath. At least mine do anyhow. However, I just set them in the tub and spray warm water on them versus putting them in a tub of water.
