its the same exact rotation as last year's except you exchanged Lee for Halladay and for as good as Halladay is he wont post that same numbers as Lee did so give up on that pipe dream that you got the best rotation cause that isnt so. Mets wont be beating anyone but if the Giants could find some hitting, they have the best rotation in the NL
Wait, what lineup is better than the Phils' in the NL top to bottom? And their rotaiton isn't as good as the Giants' but when Hamels bounces back they do have a top 3 rotation in the NL and probably top 10 in baseball. The only team I can see challenging them in the NL is the Rockies.

First off, I admitted the Giants' rotation is the best in the NL. As for Hamels, his peripheral numbers were no different in '09 that any other year. His BABIP last year was over .400. He's 26 years old, he's had three good years compared to one bad one. Not to mention he's in much better shape this year and his velocity in his first ST start was higher than it was in his first regular season start last year.
Sorry the league has caught up to him and his fastball just isnt good enough to help his changeup which is why the Yankees pasted this faggot all over the field that day. He might get away pitching to a team like the giants with that junk but it aint gonna work against a "Real" offense with "Real" hitters. Well let's see, his first start in '09 against the Rockies he hit 84-86, last week he hit 88-89. And hearing what the people who have seen him throw so far have said he's in better shape. Oh, was he a league average pitcher in '07 when he was an All-star and finished 6th in Cy Young voting, Or how about '08 when his ERA was just over 3.00 and he dominated in the playoffs? And his ERA+ from '06-'09: 115, 135, 142, 98. So three of his 4 years he's been better than league average.

Oh, and their bullpen ERA was in the middle of the pack in the NL with injuries to Lidge and Romero so it's not that bad. Bullpens are always unpredictable with the exception of Rivera.

Halladay will do good, wont do as well as Lee did last year but he will do really good. Problem is you already had 1 good pitcher last year and we saw how that played out. its the same exact rotation as last year's except you exchanged Lee for Halladay and for as good as Halladay is he wont post that same numbers as Lee did so give up on that pipe dream that you got the best rotation cause that isnt so. You got two good hitters, Utley and Werth, outside of them i wouldn't give you a bucket of piss for the rest, they whiff way too much. Mets wont be beating anyone but if the Giants could find some hitting, they have the best rotation in the NL

Wait, what lineup is better than the Phils' in the NL top to bottom? And their rotaiton isn't as good as the Giants' but when Hamels bounces back they do have a top 3 rotation in the NL and probably top 10 in baseball. The only team I can see challenging them in the NL is the Rockies.

First off, I admitted the Giants' rotation is the best in the NL. As for Hamels, his peripheral numbers were no different in '09 that any other year. His BABIP last year was over .400. He's 26 years old, he's had three good years compared to one bad one. Not to mention he's in much better shape this year and his velocity in his first ST start was higher than it was in his first regular season start last year.

Well let's see, his first start in '09 against the Rockies he hit 84-86, last week he hit 88-89. And hearing what the people who have seen him throw so far have said he's in better shape. Oh, was he a league average pitcher in '07 when he was an All-star and finished 6th in Cy Young voting, Or how about '08 when his ERA was just over 3.00 and he dominated in the playoffs? And his ERA+ from '06-'09: 115, 135, 142, 98. So three of his 4 years he's been better than league average.

Halladay will do good, wont do as well as Lee did last year but he will do really good. Problem is you already had 1 good pitcher last year and we saw how that played out. I never said cc wasnt a force for the yankees, i just said that he could only influence the game that he played in.. which was usually 1 out of 3 in the postseason. Teixeras defense was good on paper but if u actually watched the yankees in the postseason u wouldnt bring that up considering that he never had to make any spectacular plays, all of the outs he got were usually ground balls right to his feet and all he did was pick them up and step on base. The yankees won.. period.

great series! i'm a die hard phillies fan but i have to congratulate the yankees on a terrific season and on winning. it was a great series and a great matchup because were the yanks and phils were hands down the best teams in baseball. it's a very upsetting day but i know that we will go far next year and getting to the world series and being so close to repeating was a victory in itself. the phils had a great season and i'm so happy about that

(i know its not gonna happen) The Yankees actually have more home-grown players than the Phillies (Mo, Jeter, Cano, Hughes, Posada, I dont know them all since im not really a Yankee fan) but they just spend an incredibly huge amount on everybody else (like in 2008 A-rod made like 5 million more than the entire 40 man roster on the Marlins COMBINED)

Phillies are good, Utley,lee, wERTH, MARTINEZ, FELIZ AND THE CATCHER THAT'S ABOUT IT... THE REST ESPECIALLY rYAN howard.. a total dissapointment.. I am really dissapointed in ryan howard and phillies pitching especially Bad Brad.. I was so happy when feliz hit that Homer.. and then thissack of shit had to throw the game.. that reversed call that a-rod got for a homerun in game 3 was the climax moment of how ridiculously horrible mlb umpires have become in the playoffs..that play was completely INCONCLUSIVE when u see it from the side angle..these assholes get to look at the replay and still get it wrong..it's fuckin pathetic..there was no reason in hell they should have reversed that call..now the yankees are leading 5-3 when it should be tied..yet another break for this mega rich god damn team..fuck the yankees.
