This is good, I want to start a small business and hire a few people. Work hard, grow and hire more. Small businesses will bring us out of this hole. Individuals have to stick together, work together and make jobs for ourselves if no one else is going to hire us.
Well as a small businessman myself I can tell you it has only gotten more difficult. We see no breaks. I have been in business for 7 years after being laid off and I am about ready to shut my doors. So far my profit for this month is just a little over 100.00. It is just not worth it.

I am trying to open a small business in Brockport NY. I am finding it very difficult to get a loan from the bank. We have all of our equipment. We require only $25,000 additional, but because my business partner has a credit score of 645, and I have a score of 714. The bank will not loan us money. Both bailouts were roughly 2 trillion dollars in spending and tax cuts combined. The total amount lost by homeowners combined last year nears 11 trillion. There is your explanation.
Small Business can not save the Economy until Government gets out of the way. AND In a more perfect world, it should be requisite that every government employee should meet one minimum employment requirement. That being that they were at one time a Successful Small Business owner/operator/manager.

If family members can get together, and pool their resources together, they do not have to borrow from the bank to start a small business. Together they can do it with their savings, and expand later on with the profits. Stop living beyond your means, save, and pool resources to make lives better for your family and relatives. Indians, Chinese, Jews, & Italians work with their families to become a force in the community. Your family can do it too. Avoid borrowing so you can sleep well at night.
It is the small businesses with capital of $100K and under that bear the brunt of this terrible economy. Banks and government need to give incentives for individuals to start a small company, such as bank loans and low interest rate, and lower government taxes. A small company cannot survive if the taxes are too high, when property rentals and sales, utilities, salaries are so high. It's very difficult to survive among the big sharks. Small business taxes should be lower that big businesses.
Obama is not doing what he was elected to do. Just living it up at the taxpayers expense and signing bad bills for the economy. I doubt any of his policies of his or the Democratic agenda are really genuine. Same goes for Republicans. We need a more intelligent electorate in future voting cycles to really turn this thing around and need to start ousting all career politicians. I'd expect to see a lot of bogus policies of control (taxes) over the next 4 years. Most won't stand for it.
The AIG employees receiving bonus checks from AIG deserve this money. They did nothing illegal under the contracts they entered into and these are legal binding agreements. You may have contempt for the money they are receiving but so be it. These funds where provided under an Obama Bill. If you voted McCain I am sorry. This is good, I want to start a small business and hire a few people. Work hard, grow and hire more. Small businesses will bring us out of this hole. Individuals have to stick together, work together and make jobs for ourselves if no one else is going to hire us.

Well as a small businessman myself I can tell you it has only gotten more difficult. We see no breaks. I have been in business for 7 years after being laid off and I am about ready to shut my doors. So far my profit for this month is just a little over 100.00. It is just not worth it.

I am trying to open a small business in Brockport NY. I am finding it very difficult to get a loan from the bank. We have all of our equipment. We require only $25,000 additional, but because my business partner has a credit score of 645, and I have a score of 714. The bank will not loan us money. But it was in the contract that they get bonuses, theres really nothing anyone should be able to do about it. and 165 mill is less then 1/10th of a percentage of the money AIG got. in the long run, these bonuses really mean absolutely nothing.

Plus several Congressmen (Dodd) knew about them too and slipped in a provision to allow them. AIG was in a tight spot and had to give out the bonuses or risk getting sued by those greedy bastards.

If family members can get together, and pool their resources together, they do not have to borrow from the bank to start a small business. Together they can do it with their savings, and expand later on with the profits. Stop living beyond your means, save, and pool resources to make lives better for your family and relatives. Indians, Chinese, Jews, & Italians work with their families to become a force in the community. Your family can do it too. Avoid borrowing so you can sleep well at night.

It is the small businesses with capital of $100K and under that bear the brunt of this terrible economy. Banks and government need to give incentives for individuals to start a small company, such as bank loans and low interest rate, and lower government taxes. A small company cannot survive if the taxes are too high, when property rentals and sales, utilities, salaries are so high. It's very difficult to survive among the big sharks. Small business taxes should be lower that big businesses.

I have this sense that the problem has been investing in bad debt by way of the housing market that encouraged big businesses to jump on quick money while ignoring the squeeze on small businesses...but, hey, I'm not an economist. :-b

Serving huge corporate interests that by way of speculative capital can out-compete through unfair advantage what so many in the past have described as the opportunity of "the American dream" to work for ourselves is the travesty here...I think our investment from the beginning should have been in supporting small businesses that would buy housing, not speculating on bad debt that was unsustainable. But I'm sure I don't understand everything that's been going on.

The executives at AIG are ridiculous. They are crooks just like Bernie Madoff, crooks who demand ungodly and unnecessary amounts of money. Congress has no choice but to block these potential bonuses and give those bastards an extremely difficult time in court. Each executive should work for $100,000 yearly, no bonuses.

I believe in Bernake when he said as long as the financial industry is stable enough, the recession will end by this year. Things will get better but it won't be this year but I do believe that there will be a silver lining. When does the Fed chairman ever give an interview, never until now.

"Ever" is a big word, and it's hard to judge a man from a little over 50 days of work. But so far he has kept the overwhelming majority of his promises and diligently worked to accomplish that which we elected him for.
At this time 8 years ago, Bush was playing golf in Texas ignoring the threats facing us and doing nothing to prevent 9-11.

Being in office for 2 months is not an excuse for dumbass mistakes when you're the most powerful man in the world. I really think Obama's promise for no ear marks and then his staff signing hundreds of them was ridiculous. What kind of president doesn't control his staff?
Whenever a president does something such as shown in this video, it doesn't mean they're a "good president". It means they're doing what is EXPECTED of a president!

Nowhere in any of my comments have i said anything about obama being evil so maybe you should read before you reply. Comments don't get stars so if you are talking about agreeing with me, maybe that just means that I am right and you should think about things before you willingly accept them. I am not a conspiracy theorist and do not believe in the NWO or any of that stuff but I do know that obama has not followed through on the majority of his campaign promises but people still act like he has.
