  • I've never seen Greg have such a good time on stage, he clearly enjoyed singing this song alot!

  • This song is amazing they definitely should be including it regularly! This, don't sell me short, and 1,000 memories are best from the new america!!!

  • A real BR gem. They kill it live!

  • this one is on my top 5 br song

  • I really hope they play this when i see them next month!

  • Best punk band ever imo.

  • Great song, I love the intro.

  • 01:33 - 01:43 - no, mr. camera mixer - Hetson plays the solo here!

  • Bret kinda looks like Nicholas Cage in this one

  • Brett isn't there buddy!

  • @DaJammerLammy

    think you mean greg ;-)

  • Will someone please explain to me why european and japanese versions of cd's have bonus songs? wtf? Why are there different version anyway?

  • Ask the record labels. I think they wiil argue that it sells well.

  • that´s cause the companies deals are under diferent countrie´s laws...

  • i dont know but it sucks

  • the cd's cost more outside the us; the bonus tracks at least offset the cost

  • This song is the best song on the album. Except it wasn't on the album o_0..

  • they are live soooo fucking brilliant !!!

  • Totally punk and sounds great!!!!

  • This is my favorite band. Lead singer has a Phd. in Zoology and Evolutinary biology. As an inspiring scientist I look up to greg graffin.

  • Ever notice that whenever performing, each band member is generally in the same place? From left to right it goes Brian Baker, Jay, Graffin, and Greg Hetson.

  • Yeah, I know. I do wish they would have a CD made with all there B-sides!

  • hard pop??? wtf, this is pure PUNK

  • Hahahahaha hard pop...omfg...

  • Yea, don`t you know the popular musicstyle hardcorepowertrashblackdeathpunkpop?

  • Kick ass

  • Holy shit! That song was fucking awesome! It should be on every album!

  • New America was heavilly underrated. I personally love the album. It has this great feel to it. It sounded like a great band aging gracefully. I just wish they would've put this on the album instead of using it as a b-side.

  • Well I dislike New America as an album but I love this song.

  • yeah new america is their worst album maybe...at least their worst in the time after suffer.

but it still has some fucking awesome songs on it.

  • wtf?!

    generator is THE SHIT!

  • You bite.

  • by the way I can't believe that MTV was broadcasting stuff like this, times have changed alot

  • I think many BR fans (especially the younger ones just like me) are much more into the new stuff because the sound quality is quite better than on records like recipe for hate, against the grain etc. however dr. graffin inspired me to go to univerity und study life science

  • Recipe for hate, agienst the grain, suffer, and no control, 4 of the best CD's ever made! and onces I cant live with out if I could only have 4 Cd's. I have alwayes loved science, but if I did not descover bad religion I would have never got out of the christian view of science. Evolution explains more about biology then chreationism. Thanks BR!!!

  • i dont know.

im also young (close to 18) and i think no control is unbelievably good.

i just dont really like the stuff before suffer (exept for a few songs of course) and i think the suffer cd is a little bit boring.

but i find any cd after suffer better than new america for example.

but then i also love new maps of hell and the empire strikes first.

so i dont think you can generalize on this topic ;)

  • Check out my top 10 bad religion albums.

  • what the fuck, I didn't know this song.

that makes my day :p I thought I knew most of their songs.

  • Que pena que esta canción no sea tocada mas en vivo.

  • massive respect for vocals graffin....nearly 30 years...wow..

  • They need to play this in their live shows now. It's be killer with Brooks.

  • Brooks is so good

  • Best drummer they've ever had. Nothing against Pete or Bobby, but Brooks is just amazing. Plus, the one plus side of their Atlantic years was Brian, who IMHO is the best guitarist they've ever had.

  • I believe there is a live recording of this song from the warped tour 2002. but I can't find it anywhere on the internet

  • Love it!!

  • bad religion makes me miss mosh pits & magic mushrooms.too old but the music has staying power. the new songs are as good if not better then the old. who else can say that?

  • That song is Rockin!!!I'm going tonight! House of Blues! San Diego!!! ye-AH!!!

  • Best band on this rotating ball!

  • I couldn't have put it better.

    Oh...and your videos are awesome.

  • Very good song, and even better live. The New America isn't that bad, and this song proves that this album can be quite... fast (sorry)

  • Whisper in Time is also pretty good I think.

  • Every album is great in its own way, the song were writen in differant times and differant things were going on. Bad Religion makes somthing for everyone and will continue to make great music for everyone.

    Greg for President!

  • No Substance....lacked substance.

  • IN GENERAL. The song No Substance is pretty good though.

  • I agree, I think that New america and no substance are underrated

  • no subtance is not underrated its just not that good. its right behind into the unknown as far as worst albums. its not a complete waste there are prob. 3-4 good songs on it but too much of it sounds wrong.

  • Yes, is underrated. It has 10 awesome songs (hear it, shades, all fantastic, biggest killer, sowing the seeds, stranger denial, perfect people, in so many ways, and hippy killers with state of the millenium as kinda good), yes it has its fillers, but is far best that the kinda shittie recipe for hate, suffer or Into the unknown.

  • WHAT!!!!!! WHAT!!!!!!!!! WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY! You think that no substance is better than recipe for hate and suffer?!? I just shit my pants!! Are you fucking serious!!!!! Recipe for hate and suffer are two of the best BR cd's ever!

  • Yes, I said that. I really dislike much Suffer and Recipe for hate. I think they are overrated and boring

  • Those albums are fucking amazing! I bet you're a big New America fan (just kidding)..

Well, whatever it's personal preference. That was rather shocking that's all.

  • I am a New America big fan, I think is one of their best works

  • Hahaha! lol! Are you serious? New America and Into the Unknown are the worst two cd's BR has ever made. You have some bad taste in bad religion man.

  • WOW, just because every fan says that. My favorite album is against the grain, but NEw America is in the top 5. Suffer and into the unknown are the worst for me, because they are lame and boring

  • new america big eh?

  • The Empire Strikes First was kinda sucky... and Into the Unknown

  • Into the Unknown comes to mind...

  • I think Into the Unknown is pretty good, even though the style is completely different from everthing else they've done.

  • best!

  • THE FAST LIFE<3

  • I got that song on my europe version

  • esta sensacional

    pah

  • anyone have a source to download this song? can't even find it on any file sharing networks.

  • saw it on soulseek

  • It's just a fast life, there's nothing I can do......simply the best

  • this is song is hella sick.

  • Perchè mettere come hidden track l'unica canzone decente dell'album?

  • concordo

  • Very nice song, never heard it before.

  • he was kidnapped during that time...

  • I never heard about this song! sound pretty cool!!!

  • where the hell have you been?

  • They should put out a "new" release...called the "B-sides", for all obsessive collectors like me, and put all the B sides and Euro bonuses on it. They must have enough at least 10 songs worth by now!

  • They have WAY more than 10.

  • ...And they need to put this out sometime for their U.S. fans. Gonna see them next week in NYC...for the 12th time

  • OMG do I like those Hetson's solos

  • yeah great song. the verse reminds me of the song "no control"

  • Nice song 0.0

  • strange - best song is not on the cd

  • Why are all the B-sides so damn good??

  • Dammit i just got the cd yesterday, i could of burned the extra track with it.

  • man, Europe gets the best extra tracks. Shattered Faith stands out as my fav...

  • Great song, one of the best in their discography.

  • omg i love them :)

  • Fucking Nice! Great song best BAND EVER!!!!

  • I was there! Live! Loved it!

  • And why isn't this on MY US version!?

I'm angry now! (just kidding, I could never be mad at BR)

  • tá boa maxine

  • Hahah, awesome :)

Thanks for posting this, tis bloody rare me thinks. Wish they'd play don't sell me short live at some point. Such a good song.

  • the Fast Life and News From The Front are both B-sides from the New America... and they were left off the US version despite the fact that they were some of the best songs BR ever recorded... :(

  • hum

u mean news from the front is from stranger than fiction, right??

  • fuck this is surprisingly good

  • GOOD SONG this song is from what album??

  • it´s a b-side from the new america

  • it's a b-side from the new america

  • B side Holy shit!

  • european version? wtf
