  • The part about the correlation of the national legalization of abortion and the massive drop in the crime rate in the 90s blew my damn mind!

  • Have not seen this movie yet, but the book KICKS BUTT. It has got to be one of the most worthwile books to read. I highly reccomend it.

  • crap

  • lmao XD so many spammers...

  • hey.. can anybody tell me where to download this movie online? it looks real cool..

  • 79 ppl r freak-o-humans

  • wtf with all that spam....

  • wow talk about site whores, "go here i just watched it and im totally just a regular guy you can trust me even though i have 50 posts saying how much i love it"

  • hehehe "They say money doesnt buy hapiness... wanna BET?!"

  • Really disappointing book and movie... Both made for naive and degenerated American who thought the world is clean and perfect... After reading the book they feel so clever haha...

  • @john5555son gtfoh with your surveys, that link doesnt work

  • if you have netflix, you can watch this instantly fyi.

  • these are just interesting soundbites, same as the book. it's a great example of sensationalistic writing (and i'm guessing filmmaking). it's really not much to do with economics in reality and you'd be much better off reading a proper economics or philosophy book in my opinion

  • I don't know why the top comments (as of this moment) are bitching about this movie. I thought it was a pretty cool documentary. The only flaw I found in it is that they look at the issue of incentives at more of a sociological/psychological perspective rather than an economical one. However, all of these social sciences overlap one another, so it makes sense.

Otherwise, it pretty much confirmed what we already knew.. kind of. It's a good doc though.

  • a wet fart > zeitigest

any sane person knows that evil has no color and a greater good is actually evil itself. for folks that blindly join a group to believe in something, chances are they didn't believe in it in the first place. as for stats, just watch the 3rd season of hbo's the wire, lmfao.

  • It's not a bad movie to be honest. The take away from the Freakonomics movie is to observe incentives and to realize that not all statistics and issued reports are 100% accurate and true.

  • like the movie, but when rent it i seen in a preview for a moive about how fast technology was moving dose anyone know the title of it?

  • I really wish there was a longer video on youtube about the naming part. I really need it for a project due tomorrow...oh well.

  • Wtf is the big deal? Every for every single one of you that call it a "Conspiracy" film or call out people for believing in the "bullshit numbers", YOU YOURSELF HAVEN'T BOTHERED TO CHECK THE NUMBERS! Hypocrites at your best....

  • what the fuck does he say at 0:17?? i hate people that talk with a lisp...

  • @WilliamAztech "...has been devoted to figuring out tricky ways to get at causality"

  • damn spammers whats the point? i see hundreds of your comments across a range of trailers and never once thought about going to your website.

  • A conscientious mind doesn't try to walk all over or step on another one's opinion.

  • sounds like TOK....

  • What a steaming pile of fact-less crap. These ass-holes insult our intelligence with their "just trust me, I did the math" presentation of numbers. This is the kind of shit that has so many people believing in conspiracy theories and having no trust for any kind of establishment (Government and corporations). Believe it or not, not everybody is bent on screwing you over.

  • you have to be a complete imbecile to NOT understand the application or find the info in this movie insightful. but to be fair the book is much better and more informative than the movie.

  • Great movie and huge fan of Morgan Spurlock one of the directors.

  • Sounds like a jew movie.

  • i bet the gov controls this movie

and that what they want us to think get it.lol

but there migth be a twist in the future

  • The statements above reflect the mindset of people who take the musings of a former professional percussionist (Peter Joseph) as fact. Never mind that the entire Zeitgeist series has been rejected and ridiculed by experts all around the world.

We get it, though. Conspiracy theories are sexy. Much sexier than attending a university for 3-4 years and properly educating oneself on a topic. With conspiracy theories, the most uneducated yokel can be touted as an expert.

  • @EuchridEucrow1 You only lie when you have something to hide. So please explain to me why our Government lies? Why our recruiters lie and bribe people like me to fight an illegal war, then we come back fucked up so they kick us out, take back the money they bribed us with to join but still give us the option to go back in? It's because they know we will be wanting to go back when we realize we can't adjust to civilian life. It's called modern day slavery and your headed to slavery your damn self

  • @TexasGrown409

Of course the government lies and of course it has something to hide. But it's not the Bilderberg group or a Masonic plot. You're enslaved like the moon is made of blue cheese. In the West, we enjoy unparalleled freedom and social mobility.

You wanna see real life slavery? Take a plane ride to Burma. Tell those people all about your lack of freedom. Tell 'em how the man be keeping you down.

  • @TexasGrown409 Sorry, the war's legal whether you like it or not.

  • @Nick1659 Please explain to me why it's legal. Because I will prove to you that it is illegal.

  • @TexasGrown409 The President asked Congress to declare war. Congress declared war. It didn't just start because the President said "lets go to war!"

  • @Nick1659 Ok, the president has to present evidence to congress and the UN for his reasons for wanting to invade Iraq. His reasons were. That they possessed weapons of mass destruction and that they are linked to the 9-11 attacks. The UN was in Iraq searching for evidence months before we envaded and guess what to this date not one sign of any weapons of mass destruction. So yes the Iraq war is illegal since their is no evidence to back up his claims.

  • @TexasGrown409 Regardless whether there was any evidence, Congress approved war and that's what happened. Whether it should continue (Uh... no.) is different.

  • @Nick1659 Ok just because Congress approves it doesn't make it legal. It's like a cop saying I suspect this house is a crack house. He gets a warrant to search your house but finds pounds of weed and no crack. Guess what they can't charge you with the weed because the warrant was for crack. It's the same thing. Just because we have a "warrant" to invade a country doesn't make it legal. I'm done with you though. Unless you been to war stfu because you don't know shit.

  • @EuchridEucrow1

lol so everyone who believes something that is labeled a conspiracy is suddenly obviously a high school drop out with no education.

and for one, half of zeitgeist addendum IS OPINION but I am sure you didn't watch it, you just know its some dumb drop outs conspiracy documentary so it WASN'T worth your time. It must be so easy for you to be an arrogant prick and just look away from anything you don't want to hear or believe whether true or false, just keep your mind closed.

  • @EuchridEucrow1 Haven't seen this film, but isn't Zeitgeist the one that talks about how the Federal Reserve prints and loans money out at interest, interest that can never be paid back since the money to pay them back doesn't exist because they are the ones who print the money out in the first place? That isn't a conspiracy theory, it's true. Money is printed and loaned at interest. Which experts ridiculed it? Bankers by any chance? The rich? You?

  • @EuchridEucrow1

... The university I attend is screening this film and it is, in fact, being sponsored by its Economics Department. I'm not making a statement about the film itself in any sense. However, people who have obviously studied their facts are funding the screening of this film. There may be something to it. I'm just sayin'.

  • @EuchridEucrow1 So you recommend the same uneducated yokel becomes a specialist/expert? I think that person would still know a whole lot about absolutely nothing, and probably still dabble in conspiracy theories. Giving them a degree would just give them the capital to get their word out. Shhhhhh.

  • @EuchridEucrow1 I don't even know exactly what this movie is about (I have a fair guess though...) . But questioning the status quo , hypothesizing about other reasons/causes of things, doesn't necessarily mean "conspiracy theories". Anyone who thinks a little for themselves, notices clear inconsistencies with religions and politics. Sometimes you don't have access to the facts, so you have to wonder what would be the real circumstances of the events. Our society is based on deceit and illusion.

  • @EuchridEucrow1 So I am university trained and still acknowledge conspiracy theories. Is it because I've lived long enough to know?

  • EuchridEucrow1, including you, speaking of uneducated yokels.

You tried to make broad, simple minded categories. Real life is much more complex than you are. I remember a social studies teacher who often said, "We live in a pluralistic society."

Zeitgest makes some points that need to be made. And who are these so called experts? Name a few.

Your post is the usual crap from someone who doesn't like new ideas. You have no substance, no depth, nothing to offer but negativity.

  • @EuchridEucrow1 You obviously have no idea about the people that made this book/movie and the thinking involved. THE ECONOMIST WHO MADE THIS WENT TO HARVARD DUMBASS and recieved extremely prestigious awards. This is far from a conspiracy theory, its called critical thinking

  • @EuchridEucrow1 First i would like to know about what experts are you talking about and what did they really rejected, please enlighten us! Secondly, do you really know what you are criticizing, the Zeitgeist Movement is not about conspiracy, THERE IS NO CONSPIRACY, just research a little of what is proposed by it! Third, being educated to repeat what you have memorized for 5 years in an university does not give credit to anyone's intelligence. Please research before you comment! Peace!

  • I don't agree with the statements above, i read the book and just watched the documentary, and i thought it was pretty informative.

  • Alright guys, calm down. :(

  • typical american bullshit !

  • @soldatqc typical european grammar and bullshit

  • i loved the book.

  • manchester united suck

  • I watched about the first 30 minutes of this and left. This film is about very specific racism in the US and is completely irrelevant to anyone else on the planet. Well up until the point I left anyway. They went on for 30 minutes about the fact US blacks and whites give their kids different names. So what? Seriously! Who gives a shit about your hang ups get over yourselves and sell the DVD for what it is really about.

  • Awful, sorry didn't like it.

See the documentary "Zeitgeist addendum" its way better and puts this topics in a different and meaningful perspective.

  • @plaina thank you. i just watched your suggestion. liked it a lot

  • @plaina stfu beach

  • Download this movie for free at moovi.co.cc!!!!!!! It's one of those good movies that will dispand you.. Very good action! Actiong brilliant! The main actor is not just anyone. He's the 21st century's action hero. No limited range...no simply following scenes... See it guys... Really blockbuster!!

  • moeny does buy happiness, everybody that say it doesnt are fucked in the head

  • @TheLockerzAddict i would rather make $30,000 a year and have friends and family that love me than make $100,000 a year with no friends.

Relationships, helping others, and human contact make people happy.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia i'd rather make $100,000. And what the hell is the chance with no family and friends? The paragraph you just typed make no sense AT ALL. if your rich, doesnt mean you dont have any friends.

  • @TheLockerzAddict what part of my comment do you not understand? Some rich people are happy, some are unhappy. Some poor people are happy, some are unhappy. Having money doesn't automatically make someone happy.

  • the idea that abortions lower criminality has been proven wrong, just google it. crime went down for other reasons.

  • lol money doesnt buy happiness

    wanna bet

  • Some of this stuff may be obvious but it is often the most simple things that elude us unless we ask the right questions and know how to interpret the data.

  • @herringla

    simple =/= obvious.... *sigh*

  • I can't wait to see it, I like what they did and Steve Levitt is a great mind.

  • This Documentary is Major Bullshit. Efficiency, Sustainability and preservation are the enemies of our economic system.

  • yep, i already read this book, first 5 pages of econ 101

  • i really dont get how the name contributes to the content... i expected economic wisdome that you could actually use in everyday life

this movie just states the obvious and makes a huge fuzz around something that is not even worth thinking about

  • i don't think this film will beat moore's capitalism a love story...however i will check it out.

  • Why can't this be made into a series?

  • id rather watch TITANIC 2!!!!! yea u hear me right, they made this movie already

  • @carbonseven1st Did you ever see the original plot libe for Titanic 2? It's the one where Jack is brought back to life.

  • @8yume no? Jack wasnt brought back to life. titanic 2 is a new story but the same concept.

  • Comment removed

  • @carbonseven1st Sorry. I was decieved by a VERY convincing trailer. :)

  • Even though its so obvious, the average person does thing in terms of all reactions being in the same web of cause and effect and that one effect can result from many.

There is not always a main cause.

  • I wanna bang the red head.

  • Comment removed

  • fuck this shit, read the book instead

  • My Econ prof suggested we read the book and I'm glad he did. I learned A LOT from it and it's so easy to understand.

  • You have to be an imbesil to find this movie/documentary insightful it was annoying to listen grown men talk about obvious things so proudly. This type of shit shouldn't have the words "sensational" in the beginning, only good thing is I didn't pay for it.

  • @chvyant u have to be an imbecile not to be able to spell it correctly, ironic isn't it? stop trying to be smart u dumb fuck

  • @akasrk English is my 3rd language and in my first language its spelled imbesil its not ironic its amazing how good I am. DDDD:

  • @chvyant just because its spelt imbesil in your first language doesn't make it right! :D

  • @akasrk Let me just use the frase; O RLY?.

  • @chvyant phrase bro

and no shit O RLY, which is the point I am trying to state buddy, so stop acting like a smart cunt

  • @chvyant 1. According statistics you live in a world of imbesils ;) 2. They are talking not about obvious things but about things, that everybody knows are happening, but cant proove it.

  • @chvyant try googling Dunning–Kruger effect

  • @chvyant

You can't depict the movie just by looking at the trailer. It's really not what you think. Be open-minded and actually watch the movie. Netflix it. It's really good.

  • @perezroadrunner17 No, I did watch it in its entierity, but I stole it.

  • @chvyant You think they have no new ideas? That they're insights are obvious? You clearly haven't read the book. This trailer purposely leaves out the really interesting parts. How about this: Falling crime rates are directly linked to the legalization of abortion. AND they do a really good job backing it up.

  • @SpringFeb2011 Falling crime rates are directly linked to the legalization of abortion. Obvious, less people less crime.

  • Comment removed

  • @AutoEnthusiasts Lol you noticed that I was replying to someone? And I can't get any sense out of your message anyway, are you against abortion or for it what? You saying none cares? Are you like fucking dumb..?

  • Comment removed

  • @chvyant - @chvyant - And yet, I bet Steven Levitt knows how to spell "imbecile" correctly.

  • @CaseyCopperbeech Ive said this already once, english is my 3rd language and we spell it imbesil, and I still spell more proper english than americans.

  • @chvyant - Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize you were such a superior being! Congratulations!

  • @CaseyCopperbeech No problem, idiot.

  • @chvyant You Europeans are all the same just be dicks and move on. People like you think America is messing up the youth, but it's really you guys who is spreading the hate. So how about you guys shut up and do something useful and stop trying to act all smart behind a computer that shields you from being made fun of person to person.

  • @Agomongo1235 Wow thats a critical generalization of the 731M europeans. Did I say something about the youth of America, no! How are we spreading the "HATE" by being amused by the fact that someone actually claim this movie is insightful nor eye opening. Also don't use the word hate like we were black people livin in the ghetto. I just told my opinion isn't, don't you guys keep sayin that everyone can have their opinion? What does makin fun of person to person have to do with this, PUSSII.

  • @chvyant Well you can't grow up seeing hate comments on America that when something is bad about to come up stupid idiots some how compare it to America when it makes no sense. Also, what you don't think "HATE" is a word? Yes you guys are messing up American kids you know why? Because, the majority of people on Youtube are kids!

  • @chvyant and you trying to act all smart and a jackass makes the kids all fucked up. My friend use to be really nice not until he found youtube now he's a jackass to America. SO! stop with the "hate" comments.

  • @chvyant What is a Imbesil?

  • @TokerMate Fucksake, Ive said this 3 times, english is my 3rd langauge and in my first language its spelt imbesil. Imbecile, imbēcillus* person with IQ 25-50. lol

  • @chvyant Sorry lol, your English is good so I thought your first language was English and also thought it would be funny fucking with you about the spelling on Imbesil/Imbecile - Wouldn't bother replying to people like me that ask the question its just people making fun of the incorrect spelling for a word that describes someone as dull/stupid. I can only speak one Language you can make fun of me in two. haha.

  • @chvyant i coudnt agree more. well said.

  • thats strange. i'm no econ major and found the book interesting.

  • I was only able to drag myself half-way through the book before I finally threw in the towel. Many times falling asleep while reading it. I thought the book sucked. The book was given to me by a classmate who was unable to read it himself. We were both econ majors.

  • The book was an enlightening read.

  • wtf is this about?

  • Unreal book

  • isn't this just asking fermi questions?

  • Watch Full Movie go to: KhanFashion dat com

  • What is the different from the book?

  • @victortinshwe The pictures move :)

  • It's all a matter of perspective :) for a fisherman that is happy having the sea and a family at home and silence, money is not that much since he has everything he needs - sea, fish, food, family, love.

For someone that is dependent on money, money is a safety.

It all depends from one to another :) .

  • @vladgolcea Money is everyting!! with out Money NO Boot no Fish No Family no Love No sex No Safety!!!

  • @WeLoGN yes, that makes complete sense. You definetly need money to go fishing if you're a fisherman that has a boat.

No Money No Brain :) .

See the irony in what you're saying ? there's no purpose in becoming more shallow, is there ?

  • money can buy happiness... it just can't buy joy.

  • @bryangks That's one of the most idiotic things I've ever read. The reason it is so idiotic is the fact that you think you are being all insightful and thought provoking.

  • free streaming? cant find it :(

  • this is probably the BEST book i've ever read. and it wasn't even a class assignment! my sociology teacher thought i would like it because im the type of person to question everything haha i can't wait to see how this translates to film

  • LOL I did! And what really bums me out is that the film uses the same examples as the book! Honestly, you'd think they'd come up with some new ones :(

  • @sammio67 of course the film used the same examples as the book... it is a motion picture adaptation of a book. DUH. they did come up with "some new ones", and those can be found in the sequel, SuperFreakonomics.

  • @sammio67 maybe it was more for those people who rather watch than read. It was a good film nonetheless.

  • "oprah is popular". AHAHAHA

  • want to know why black people and white people have different names? because they're genetically different in the first place.

  • @superjam18

    I hope that is sarcasm

  • @IWantMyVisionBack it was i had a moment there

  • This was filmed at my schooooool ^.^

  • @senioralpc noo waay awesome!

  • this book pokes a nice hole in certain peoples agenda. Of course, the people who buy into their crap probably wouldnt read it.

  • i read the book ... its fantastic

  • By the way, these are the guys that advocate teachers, simply teaching so the students can past TAKS. And that throwing money at the word "industry" is somehow going to improve it. Communist fucks.

  • @animan360 Actually if you read the beak would know they are not for teaching for the sake of passing grades. If anything they are against the high stake testing that causes teachers to teach for the sake of passing tests. Ignorant cunt.
