Tire smoke is probably worse, since it can contain carbon monoxide and the byproducts of butadiene and styrene. God bless if you ever develop severe respiratory problems in the future. A VW Golf Diesel gets more MPG than a Prius, meaning it's more fuel efficient, more environmentally friendly, and more bang for the buck.. Diesel and the black smoke they output is practically all soot, unprocessed fuel, while the invisible gasoline fumes are so processed, they destroy the environment. The black shit is just pure carbon, which the trees REALLY love. All soot, not harmless.
