This is a fantastic video, thanks to all involved. We can only imagine how hard The Depression was but these pictures really put it in perspecetive. Such tired faces, but they kept going, fed their children, kept themselves alive [some of them] and kept clothes on their backs. Always trying to work, always travelling, always hoping.....
Woodie Guthrie would be glad to see this video and song. I am glad the migrant workers are not forgotten. We, here in the US, use them and then treat them poorly. "Disposable" people. Your video is filled with pain...and beauty. This is a fantastic upload. Thank you!
@TherealMrChristophel Check out his album "Black water" and his work with the band Lau - their albums "Live" and "Lightweights and Gentlemen" are superb. I have seen Kris Drever and Lau live several times and they are awesome, simply stunning. Kris Drever is doing some festivals in the UK this year - The Big Session in Derby in mid-June looks amazing, superb line-up and Kris Drever is playing on the Saturday. Got my tickets already, can't wait!!
