Dante defeats him in DMC3, he remains in the Demon World, where he becomes enslaved to demon Mundus, and brainwashed by him, he loses himself. Other than that, we know nothing about him. His story is really sad too, as he is depraved of his family like Dante was, and he is bitter inside like Dante is.

Hate or no hate, Capcom has still already decided that series needs a reboot. Who knows where the DMC series will head to from here on, but this video will always remind me why I am still in love with this series and its characters almost a decade after it was first introduced to the world.
