Actually, most of the time you will always get that message. You use a program to find free space (I recommend Free Space Finder by HackMew. You can google it). What you do is remember the number they gave, and open your rom with free space finder. Then put the value you got in the grey hex line at the bottom right. Copy the Dec number, copy it to needed bytes, and change the bottom left thing to 'search beginning of rom'. Click find, and use the number generated. Replace it with image offset.
make an outline on the original file i choose black then import your image make sure it can fit inside the outline put it there make it so you can see the outline then make the picture so the last thing you see on top and bottom is the outline the get rid of outline I hope i helped
Open it. Open your rom. Scroll down until you find loads of rows of F's copy one of the codes along the side and put that as the top number when you change the sprite.
Not the best explanation, try looking for a video explaining it. I can't be bothered.

For pokemon Fire Red UNLZ, what number is Prof. Oak's introduction sprite?

actually, the file is bigger because it reads more tiles as visible and not transparent.

I don't know what the problem may be, but the images of the D/P/Pt sprites are, I THINK, about 25% bigger than R/S/E/FR/LG ones.

Get a Hex Editor, such as Hex Workshop.
Open it. Open your rom. Scroll down until you find loads of rows of F's copy one of the codes along the side and put that as the top number when you change the sprite.
