  • Would your video on focused heeling work for teaching other people's dogs (clients dogs or dog walkers dog) to walk nicely on leash? Does this work on getting the dogs focus off or away from exciting things like seeing a cat run across the lawn or a squirrel for example?

  • @ajhpetlover Yes. Of course for everyday life you don't need ABSOLUTE attention in heeling but it's always good to teach the dog to look at you ON COMMAND, that is, to be able to get your dog's attention when you want it. As for loose leash walking, that would have to be trained a little differently but once the dog learns that it's good to pay attention to you and interact with you (because you are FUN to the dog), it then becomes pretty easy to teach him to walk nicely on lead.
