You know, on reflection, there is *one* change I'd love to see you make in this video, and it's really minor, in the grand scheme of things...

It would be nice if you went to black, as you do, after the LSO opening, and then spliced in the long teaser from the 12" version of the Meco track... perhaps with a really long fade up of the Tattooine with 2 suns shot from early in IV.... and then smash cut to where you already open.

I am a computer tech/videographer and I fix pc's all day. Dont want to come home and fix mine at home. Never had or have to fix my mac at home. Just keeps on tickin.

Classic tune, however my problem with the video is that you have used the post-1997 special edition of the movie. Rather than the 70's version which would've been much, much more appropriate.

Well I could have if I had the VHS tapes. But I wanted the quality to look good so I used the new version which is still star wars by the way. I wanted the wide screen effect with the music.

I suddenly wanted to design aircraft and spacecraft even more after seeing the film in 1977, and I drew quite a few plans of such craft. The Millennium Falcon will get you out of trouble in a pinch, if you are so inclined to get into trouble!!! Just make sure that you have your equipment working for the jump to light speed!!!!! Of course, MUCH faster travel is required in space than light speed if you expect to get between stars in a few hours.

When this movie and music came out in June/July of 1977, I felt it was the best movie and music ever!!! I was really inspired by both the movie and this music.

My favorites are the first two Star Wars movies, Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back, although I also loved the climate of the desert planet in the third movie, the race in it, plus the forest trees, and also the heavy aerial traffic in the cities of the later movies.

Yes, thanks! Have fond early teen memories from this vid. (Was 13 years old at time the movie was released back in 1977 & when the single for this landed at #1 on Billboard Magazine's HOT 100 charts). Although 1977 has some other great #1's from movies (Rose Royce's "Car Wash", Barbra Streisand's "Evergreen" (from a "Star Is Born"), Bill Conti's "Gonna Fly Now" (from "Rocky") & Bee Gees' "How Deep Is Your Love" (from "Saturday Night Fever"), this is the one that brings back the most awe!

Did forget one other #1 from movies from 1977 according to Billboard Magazine's HOT 100 charts (Debby Boone's "You Light Up My Life" -- which although it was the biggie that year, logging 10 weeks at #1, this theme, Conti's & Royce's single spent one week at #1 and Streisand & Bee Gees' single spent 3 weeks at #1 -- Boone's single is the most forgettable of the 7 -- and I think not at all awe inspiring -- in the later years). This one by Meco still brings back the most awe.

Don't be sorry, this is fine, very professional - if you didn't make that comment about Windows it could pass for the original (except for the missing couple of thousand names!).

Of course if you did want to do the 15 minute version you could repeat some footage, or just use sympathetic footage from the series.

Well, it was there, but there's been a copyright claim, possibly by MECO himself; now the sountrack has been replaced with some Beethoven, with a link to i-tunes - you know it could have been to MECO's track, but it's to Ludwig's! If you're out there MECO, I think this is a great opportunity for you - rather than making copyright claims, you could ask for lower quality You Tube uploads with a link to your a download site where your fans can buy your music, and maybe other merchandise.
