  • AT FIRST IT LOOKS DEAD!!!:(:(:( THE IT KICKS ITS LEGS AND THINKS.... 'OH I MUST OF FORGOT' CHICKENS DO NOT SWIM!!

Look i am only 12 i have 8 chickens. and i KNOW! that they are NOT designed to swim!!! :(

    JUST MY OPINION!

  • What the HELL man...

  • Leave the poor thing alone!!!!!!

  • My mom used to accuse me of "being mad as a wet hen" I can't even fathom how angry a wet rooster might be. He was pouting and soaked. NOT cool.

  • Haha thats a cute rooster there =] Ive had some awesome roosters like him too but not as tame..... this one silkie loved to swim in the kiddie pool its so funny X)

  • is not a fucking chicken is a rooster' god dam it!

  • does it matter - its horribly cruel!!!!

  • and why he died? Stop this shit men, STOP. LEAVE CHICKENS ALONE!

  • I don't know what to say...

  • The guy.. "OMG! HES SO COOL!" XD lol this one looks like one of my roosters :3 I love my chickens. 'Cept for the red rooster I have.. He's an asshole to me, he won't let me pet and pick him up. He chases me and it's scary. D:

  • Chicken:Wait til the guys back at home hear this!

  • Poor rooster, the video started off ok.. but thats not right, he's not happy. He doesnt look well.

  • barred rock?

  • 0:50

    " so creepy"

    your face is creepy :D

  • lol Youtube, I was wondering if chicken can swim.

  • why so many dislikes? I think the video is cool.

  • @sanijkt Thank you, I appreciate it.

  • its cruelty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @sanijkt cruelty!¬!!!

  • Poor thing :(

  • People, read the fucking discription

  • hyahyahyahay he so good

  • What's the big deal about a chicken in the water.... (-.-)

  • Yes, these two guys were obviously not being smart, at all, HOWEVER...I respect anyone who keeps chickens; they are saving a life from the terrible, terrible existence the rest of their feathery brethren must slog through in the TRULY abusive egg and poultry industry.

  • @clamzcoolio Yes! Also, think about it, it was probably summer, they were real hot, and it was a good cleaning for 'em!

  • if the pool water has too much chlorine it could be unpleasant for the chicken, or possibly harmful if chickens can't tolerate chlorine well.Birds are more sensitive to some chemicals than mammals are, I think. In any case, I would definitely recommend rinsing him off with clean drinkable water. Also, birds can drip dry their plumage, especially on a hot day. Almost all birds have powder(bloom) on their feathers which provides water resistance.

  • Lol @ kids getting pissed

  • shut up its my friend leslie

  • That is imossible.Chickens aren't good in the water(they sink).

  • lol

  • @JennySpooks people who laugh at cruelty are just as bad!

  • This is fucked up.

  • chickens are far more intelligent than humans. The "smartest" human on earth has around .00000000001% the intelligence of a virus.

  • awww. he was hot.=) THIS ISNT ABUSE PPL!!

  • If the chicken wanted to get out it would of, yeah it's a little bit mean to splash it but the chicken clearly didn't care or it would have freaked out. Now shut up and let others enjoy the video!

  • chickens dont naturally swim.

  • i think all these animal abuse people are wasting their time. what about all the chickens getting killed in the slaughter houses? WHAT ABOUT THE DIRTY FARMS THAT THEY RAISE THEM IN, HUNH? WHY WONT ANIMAL CRUELTY ASSOCIATIONS ARREST THE FARMERS??? >.> arrest for animal almost pointless. i mean, im ALL for animals, and i love them, but some people's senses are just blocked out by too much love for the animals.

  • yeah a swimming chicken is funny, but when it wanta out you shouldnt splash it in the face!

  • You are both dipshits. Let's throw you in a big lake, and each time you come to the edge for help, we shove you back in the middle and splash you. I'm sure chlorinated water is good for chickens. I hope you get disease or mites from the water now.

  • @Dandilyun1 sure! It's fun in the summer! :D

  • Stop putting it back in, it obviously wants to get out.. -.-

  • There are animal authorities that would love to get a look at this video, you dumb fucks. This is nothing short of animal cruelty, Thankfully, Youtube has a no tolerance of such antics. Consider yourselves reported, assholes.

  • I have never seen a chicken swim. we never hand enough water in there pen to swim in but i didn't even know that they would float.

  • Perhaps the rooster is shocked.

  • Thank you ThePennydean and MrRyan399 and others for your comment.

  • Chickens are not meant to swim and should not be put in a pool or have water splashed in it's face and eyes. That is torture because the water will go into their nostril's and cause respiratory problems. You should have more sense than that. I wish someone would arrest you for abuse.

  • I can't belive that that chicken was swimming away from the pool. The boys or whoever it what splashing water, I think that was fucking cruel to drown that cute chicken. How would they feel if someone did that to them? They wouldn't be happy and that how that chicken probably felt.

  • It scent want to stopppp bastards fagets assholes

  • u know wat...animal cruelty u assholes. i should do that to u and see how u like it.

  • my goodness, u bastards. its a chicken, dont murder it with water if it doesnt want to be in there in the first place...

  • Poor chicken...

  • Too Crulety you sent that bird into shock. Shame on you. You have no compation or concern for the birds frame of mind. Swimming and staying at the edge of the pool means " I want out " for that birds

  • TAKE IT OUT!!! IT WILL DIE OF THE COLD!!!

  • Stupid idiots. That's very cruel to the bird and obviously he wanted out when going to the corner of the pool, but you pushed it away and splashed it it water. If pure animal cruelty and you do not deserve to have him as a pet.

  • @VitalisCarbone thats not crulity its just swimming i have chickens and they swim in our pond on their own time

  • wow fagit! leave the hen alone u dufass....

  • poor chicken.. what you did was inhuman!! what if you were in that chicken's place..

  • aww he's so cute! And people should calm down about this if he wanted out he would be flapping his wings really fast!!

  • He's look like my hen but my hen can't swim

  • mother flippers i agree with smileyferretface take it out of the water you ass

  • Oh ffs stop splashing it. If a hen swims to the edge of the pool, it wants out. Don't hurl a load of water in its face .___.'

  • how is that a grand champion that is the uglyst roter i have ever seen and it almost haz no meat on it. LAST PLACE LOSER but it cool cuz iv never seen a chicken swim

  • Comment removed

  • Really. No connection between chicken abuse and chicken death. Amazing.

  • people relax, I raise ducks and chickens together, they fight over the pond on hot summer days. the water will not hurt the bird.

  • This is great. I have never seen a chicken swim but loved watching this guy. I think the chicken was really enjoying the water (else it would have been all over those guys like a chicken on a June bug) and I'm glad you got this on film. Thanks for sharing.

  • YOu are morron! Probably have no right in the head. SHe chilled!

  • A Real Cucco from Twilight princess

  • Hey! Poor hen for a while was good but he did not do that, the poor want to climb and not leave! :(

  • the hen is wearing a hidden life jacket so she is not sinking !!

  • you people are terrible.

  • @Angelnot95 i bet you eat chicken so you cant talk about being mean to it

  • @sisterofslaanesh666 chickens arent meant to swim. obviously.

  • @Angelnot95 all birds can swim, its why their feathers are coated in a oil to stop them sinking

  • @sisterofslaanesh666 never said they couldnt but how often do you see a chicken swimming? never. i raise chickens and they dont even like to step in it.

  • @Angelnot95 maybe you are raising them wrong, not really :) i had a duck that hated water :S

  • @sisterofslaanesh666 not really sure how you can raise a chicken wrong, but whatever i guess

  • why you have a cihicken in your pool !!

  • so cute!!!

  • FUnny so funny!! how do you do that?!

  • i mean i always thought ducks can do it but chickens can't..... now tell me wtf is this? xDxD

  • WTF???? how the fuck did he know how to swim????

  • It's a duck!

  • @7mikethebike nope its a chicken

  • @7mikethebike

Or maybe he has a little turkey in him..... Then he'd would be a Tur-Duck-En!

  • So funny! He moved to the side of the pool and let you just turn him around so he could swim again! Cute and funny.

  • Cute! :)

  • wow! usually it would have drowned.. usually panicking etc.. not float like that.. never seen this before

  • Cool! So cute!

  • great video of torture you jackass....that rooster was clearly exhausted and trying to get out of the pool.

  • @bdeno79 pussy

  • cruelty

  • chicken: 'im not a rubber duck!'

  • He is so cute! I raise polish chickens for showing at fair. How did he stay a float in the pool?

  • I've seen other videos with chickens swimming but their owners were with them. This was NOT the case with this poor rooster.

  • Actually he wasn't saying "come on in the water's fine" he was trying to conserve energy and survive. The fact that he appeared so calm was in fact stress. Often when chickens are in stressful situations they stop moving as to make themselves less noticeable and less of a target. The fact that the rooster trusted his notsocoolunclefroggy is even more shameful. And btw ducks swim because they are waterfowl and made to swim without drowning, chickens are not...

  • It may appear that it's cool for chickens to swim but this was actually a very cruel thing to do. It was clear he was trying to get out of the water but "notsocoolunclefroggy" wouldn't let him and then threw more water on top of him instead. When the rooster was finally let out the fact that he just stood there for so long means he was very stressed out and causing this type of stress is cruel. I didn't read all the comments but I cringe to think notsocoolunclefroggy has more chickens! shame!

  • one time my chicken was running around the pool, I tried to capture it so it wouldn't fall in, but it fell in the deep end. BUT it swam and swam...

  • well.. ducks swim. so..yeah.

  • Hmmmm... not too sure about this one... I suppose the chlorine could be harmful, but I don't know... I dip mine from the neck down in a bucket of cool water every day in the summer. They actually seem to hate it, but I just can't imagine it not doing them any good, they get so dirty and sticky from rummaging, and it's so hot these days.

  • he dont looks good after bath

  • cruel.

  • he wants out idiot

  • lmao its like "whatup, come on the waters great"

  • Incredibly cruel. I'm sure you washed him thoroughly right after to remove the chlorine and other pool chemicals from his sensitive skin, right? And he didn't climb out at the end because he was shocky and exhausted. Please never own another chicken. Poor rooster.

  • i think its cold

    and it going to die..

    :(

  • so, I just stopped a chicken from falling in a pond when they can swim?

  • So what of course chickens can swim that is common knowledge to chicken owners

  • the chicken looks Happy u should have left it in the water

    :)

  • haha THATS a cool chicken :D

  • the poor thing is so scared it doesn't move, and you think it's a good idea to pour more water on it ? As another comment already says : chickens don't cool down in water ! 4 minutes of scared-to-death chicken and claiming this isn't abuse ? Sorry, but you are retards. Hens are no toys but real animals, you need to take care of them.

  • If you really cared about the chook you would have at most wet it with a spray bottle\light hose.

Chickens cool down the the dust\dirt. Chickens have water resistant feathers for a reason! I live in Australia and we have hot days, Never have I seen any of the chooks in the dams or ponds, Instead they are under the shade of a tree or messing up the garden covering them selves with dirt

You're video proves they may swim, but it doesn't mean they want to.

Do nature a favour & don't own an animal

  • thx for proving my point to a friend that other flightless birds can swim :D

  • @apocalyptor333 chickens arent flightless, just not strong fliers. Certain light bodied chickens like pheonix hens can fly farther than 60 meters.

  • The poor guy's feathers and fine downy feathers underneath his larger feathers were soaked! Had you not gotten him out he would have eventually SUNK! Pleeeeeaaassseee don't ever do that again!

  • I'm surprised. I know Bald Eagles can at least swim using their wings, but I didn't know that chickens can swim with just their feet.

Though it doesn't look like chickens can actually jump out of that pool because the feathers are all soaked and probably heavy.

  • chickens can acutally swim really.

only when they need to or when they fall in the water.

and mine chickens come to me 2.

and let them take them up and that things.

  • You have a chicken not a duck

  • update please!

  • It's all fun until the chicken pees.

  • jackasse.. this is no animal cruelty.. chicken is not screaming! just chillin' .. get a life!

  • who heard the plane landing

  • Dat Rooster.

  • chickens can swim stupids

  • the chicken's previous life must be a duck ...

  • I don't know how smart chickens are, but the thing appears to trust the people there, that wouldn't happen normally, you'd figure they would always run away no matter what. So you can bet that this chicken lives a nicer life than any other chicken since he's okay with being touched etc. Call me crazy

  • I always wondered if they could swim!! I was afraid to try it with my chickens, but on a hot day, they really have a hard time. I will have to try this. :)

  • Oh he definately isn't exhausted. He looks quite pleased.

  • This isn't animal cruelty you stupid fucktards. I have a backyard flock of 30 (soon to be more with my broodies) and some of them like the water. I have a small childrens' pool in my frontyard where my gals free range. My golden comets absolutely love that pool. You wanna know whats cruel? Throwing away cockerells in factories. I kept all my roos, all 5 of them.

  • how is this animal cruelty??...... that chicken is chilling out. he seems calm and seems to enjoy it :D

  • tht poor chicken ur so mean

  • Hahaha thats too funny! Its all chillen

  • what was the whole point of this comment

  • awww...hes like "just chillin guys, phew!!!so hot today!!" one of my chickens (she died 3 weeks ago at the age of 3) used to sit in a tub filled with water and roll, lol, she was really funny!!!looks like you look after him well, chickens like sitting in water.

  • it looks so tasty. i hope you ate it after it died and didnt waste the juicy thing

  • My chicken did this the moment I put her in the water for a bath. She could have stood, but instead she lifted her feet and the air in her feathers made her float.

  • Comment removed

  • please you dont see? the chiken are exausted, the chiken died after this fantastic film.

    please.

  • People who think this is cruel are just straight up retarded cause I'd eat that fucker in a second.

  • bad guys, you dont have any more to do? you 2 is very stupid and idiots.

fuck you too. this is cruel. is a duck? please died you 2.

  • This chicken is very creepy....

  • hes hammered.

  • I'm surprised at how many sadistic people watch this. The reason I'm viewing this? I was curious about whether he had fallen in. It was a link from a different video of chickens. What brought all of the mentally deformed people complaining about those of us who are humane? Hippies indeed. What should I call those people? Imbecilic Jackasses.

  • This is terrible. That poor rooster. he must have been terrified, hence why he didnt move....plus exhausted, how many chickens have to tread water?

  • thanks to you my kid is eating fish... i told him it was swiming chicken on his plate .. he didnt beleave me.... until zebra came to the rescue

  • alright at first it was alright. but then u kept pushing it back into middle of the pool..

  • @botcheinispro agreed i was just gonna say the same thing

  • that is mean

  • Oh, and also, in one post (June 2008) you said he died, and in another one (9 months ago) you said he was still alive and was a "happy and healthy father". How can that be?

  • Can I ask why you were trying to send him out in the pool again, after he had swum to the edge to get out? And why you were putting water on his head after he was out?

I don't doubt that you love your chickens, but I can't understand why you would do that. Can you explain?

Also, chlorine is toxic. It's not even good for us humans to inhale, let alone a small animal like a chicken.

  • Holy shit! The swimming chickens from Zelda are REAL?!?!?

  • @infringementMAN And swimming pigs. >>

  • @infringementMAN omg exactly wut i was thinking...

  • holly shit thats crazy lolz swiming chicken like a duck man wtf!!! lol

  • got a hen with the same pattern ,forgot the name of it though is it blue andolusion or andolsel

  • fake

  • Must of been a duck in his last incarnation.

  • 3:50 till the end you can here the chicken lightly saying "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"

  • @Ebay11236 that was a kid stupid

  • i must say it's so CEWT!

  • ...that was weird

  • LOL! That is too cute! I've never seen a chicken swim like that... he's floating like a duck! Then when you were trying to let him get out his own he's like, no way man, I like it here. Too bad he's not around anymore. Looked like he had quite the personality :)

  • You traumatized him you dumbasses.

  • hahah budhist chicken

  • hes like wtf

  • Cute, but a dangerous thing to do. Splashing him like was being done is going to water log his feathers and then he'll sink and drown.

-From someone who has kept poultry for many, many years and currently has a few hundred show birds.

  • what a gorgeous boy!

  • he was certainly a beautiful boy!

  • This is fantastic!!! I bet he enjoyed the cool down. he is so relaxed! Chickens overheat easily and many die from the heat.

    He was a beauty!!!

  • This video...it pleases me. SWIM CHICKEN, SWIM! GO LITTLE FELLA!!!

  • Pouring chemicals on a chicken. No wonder it died a few weeks later.

  • @electrickrwm A few weeks, 6 MONTHS ago from the last time he posted. Not a few weeks later. :|

  • I have roosters and they worth about $300 and they end up drowning and some times i wish they can do that btu sadly they drown and we lose our money. thats prety cool thou.

  • your killing it

  • i love chickens and your chicken is pretty nice

  • I love the little bunny huggers crying animal cruelty, seriously, if a chicken is upset, it lets you know, if they dont like their situation, they cluck and peep and drum like there's no tomorrow and that chicken did not give a shit that it was in the pool.

Novel idea- Know what your talking about before you post.

  • you're dumb!! chicken hate water plus by the look of it that rooster is about to die in the next few day due to someone that don't know how to raise a rooster!! Go raise another dog or somethings that you could swim with !!!!
