if the pool water has too much chlorine it could be unpleasant for the chicken, or possibly harmful if chickens can't tolerate chlorine well.Birds are more sensitive to some chemicals than mammals are, I think. In any case, I would definitely recommend rinsing him off with clean drinkable water. Also, birds can drip dry their plumage, especially on a hot day. Almost all birds have powder(bloom) on their feathers which provides water resistance.

Hmmmm... not too sure about this one... I suppose the chlorine could be harmful, but I don't know... I dip mine from the neck down in a bucket of cool water every day in the summer. They actually seem to hate it, but I just can't imagine it not doing them any good, they get so dirty and sticky from rummaging, and it's so hot these days.

awww...hes like "just chillin guys,phew!!!so hot today!!" one of my chickens (she died 3 weeks ago at the age of 3) used to sit in a tub filled with water and roll,lol,she was really funny!!!looks like you look after him well,chickens like sitting in water.

My chicken did this the moment I put her in the water for a bath. She could have stood, but instead she lifted her feet and the air in her feathers made her float.

I'm surprised at how many sadistic people watch this. The reason I'm viewing this? I was curious about whether he had fallen in. It was a link from a different video of chickens. Can I ask why you were trying to send him out in the pool again, after he had swum to the edge to get out? And why you were putting water on his head after he was out?
I don't doubt that you love your chickens, but I can't understand why you would do that. Can you explain?
Also, chlorine is toxic. It's not even good for us humans to inhale, let alone a small animal like a chicken.
