@tleesweets We got both the kitten and puppy from the RSPCA and they told us that they were both about six weeks old. This video was taken about six weeks after we got them.... I doubt very much that the RSPCA would be telling as fobars so to the best of my knowledge they were both about 3 months old when this was taken.

For those who haven't figured it out yet, THEY WERE PLAYING!!! they were exhibiting normal domesticated animal behavior. The owner called his dog because the play got rough and he wanted her to focus on him. I do it all the time when my dog gets really excited while playing. It's a sign of a well trained dog. And crates are used to housetrain puppies; you need more info before you pass judgment.

This vid is pretty cute...both the cat and the dog aren't really showing any aggression, just some typical puppy/kitten playfulness. Young animals always seem to "fight viciously" but they're really just having some fun, though I do think the puppy got a bit agitated toward the end.

@ RMX: No, I don't think the cat has a bloody nose. He just has a mark on it. Most "tuxedo" cats have color splotches on their nose, I've known of at least 3 in my life that have marks.

Hi, Chilli does have a black mark on his nose (not blood). They still get on ok... Emmy(dog) is a lab / border-collie cross. They were both about three months old when this was taken. They don't play like this any more since Chilli keeps his distance ...which is a pitty really since Emmy would still love to play with him.

Just so you all know... Emmy(dog) and Chilli(cat) are great friends. Emmy loves the attention and Chilli loves to play fight. Emmy is the one that banged into the fridge (not the cat). She's a bit clumsy at times. Fortunately she appears to feel no pain. She often wags her tail... whacking it on hard edged things (like the edge of a door) and just sits there... with the sound it makes you'd think she would move a couple of inches, but no, not Emmy.
