Until you can demonstrate to me that the planet is actively producing the stuff, this song is gonna be true.

@XaleManix A very tiny amount of crude oil is produced naturally, on a yearly basis. You can try googling the subject. That's not really what I'm referring to, however.

I'm just saying that we're not going to hit peak oil until about 100 years. There's a LOT more oil around than most people think.

@Smellypavie - I heard it for the first time in 1973. It was very pertinent THEN - it was right around the time of the oil embargo when OPEC was born. We STILL have not learned our lesson - that there is ONLY SO MUCH OIL in the ground. Why are we so DUMB???? This ought to be our new national anthem! What incredible, tight horns.
