It'd be naive to expect a secondary source like this to be"objective";that is a contentious field in academia among other things.

They define themselves as Satanists in the sense that they are opposed to Christianity, not in the sense that they are devil worshippers. They want to rid their culture of all Christian concepts including Satan, but at the same time Satan is the adversary thats what his name translates as in Hebrew.
