Just the punishment of the grave by Allah swt scares me so much. I've always found that making wudhoo, laying on your right side and reciting Ayatul Kursi (ayah 255 from Surat Al-Baqara) before going to sleep makes waking up alot easier.. sometime's I'd just wake up randomly from sleep prior to the athan and alarm. There's a hadeeth that says whosoever does so, Allah commands an angel to stand over him and protect him from harm (shaytan?) till he awakes.
