I got sent home on con leave due to getting hurt and I go back tomorrow.....It sux balls. It is really hard but at the end of the day when you are back in your barracks all you can say is....Damn! I actually did that. It is an accomplishment and I can't wait to be back. Good luck to everyone and it is a road worth traveling just remember when you are there that eventually the pain will end and you will be able to call yourself an American Soldier!!!

Cant beleive the Shit these Privates get away with! When I was there back in 05 wse had OSUT for 74D and it was like being in Basic for 6months. IN AIT THERE WAS NO CELL PHONES, NO FATTY CAKES AT THE DFAC, NO CIGARETTES OR DIP, NO NIGHTLY PASSES ( unless you were dropping off your BDU to get pressed) NO TAKING YOUR TIME IN THE DFAC! And when you finished the whole cycle you would show up to your unit disciplined. not BS-ing with the 42A while you inprocess.
this is why bitch ass privates come to there first units with no respect...running around out of uniform with squirt guns really???? they think its all fun and games until they have to deploy...its sad to me. they're really letting the army turn into shit
They are in uniform Kennysmomma, the PT uniform. If you had any idea of the stress soldiers endure, you would not be so quick to say such things. Blowing off a little steam and being silly helps them keep discipline, not necessarily loose it.
Fort Leonard is not really like that because i was in one station training unit and it was way harder for us engineers from 31 st eng bn i didnt even get our personal not until the morning of family day.
@aku2k50 this was family day for us... The soldiers witht he water guns were the ones who decided to stay on base for whatever reason... no family, no transportation, etc.

I leave for basic in October. 31B all the way. Yes a lot of MPs hate their MOS but there are also many more that love it. It depends on the person that's why you want to be 100% sure on the MOS that you want. And I am damn sure. I'm going to be one of the few female MPs at basic too.
Because as a private you'll have to work, weekends holidays and terrible shifts. I have friends who are mp's and they don't like their MOS. And nobody likes an MP anyway. Ive been in for 4 years and there is better jobs

I have a bachelor's degree so you automatically start out as E-4 if you choose the OCS option...when you graduate Basic, you are an E-6 and then you go to OCS as an E-6 and finish as an O-1

Pretty much they decontaminate things that have been exposed to a nuclear attack. So if ever a Biological attack on the US would happen, they'd be the ones pretty much in charge of everything.
