  • I'd give her a band 6,l although I haven't heard her stage 2 and 3 to be exactly sure. I will say that the interviewer is more professional than a lot of the other youtube mock IELTS videos (with the exception of the ones released by Cambridge) and sticks to the routine quite carefully - except he tends to say "Ok" a bit too much. Also in most centers I have conducted exams in the paper and pencil is already beside the interviewee but it might be different in different centers in the world.

  • IELTS IS SUCH AN ANNOYING AND USELESS MEASURE OF ONE CAPACITY TO EXPRESS HIMSELF/HERSELF, IT DOESNT MAKE ANY SENSE TO ASK DR/PHARMACIST AND NURSES TO SCORE BAND 7 IN ALL CATEGORIES FOR THEM TO REGISTER OR PRACTICE IN THE UK WHEN PEOPLE FROM OTHER EU CONTRIES WHO CAN HARDLY SAY A WORD IN ENGLISH CAN TRANSFER THEIR PROFFESSIONAL LICENSE EASILY, THIS SUCKS

  • @Thezedian I tap that.

  • @SunnySmilingGirl I don't think they expect you to just answer like an idiot. You have to make real sentences, using great vocabulary, being at ease. You have to be interresting in what you say.

  • @felp777 british accent is the best accent out there :P

  • @Lilithly will its sucks! the american accent is more easy to understand ( My Opinion ) ^^

  • @3363085 of course it´s your opinion^^; american english is much easier to learn, that´s why i don´t like it. and it doesn´t sound nice. british english can be really beautiful (depends on the speaker, though). my opinion obviously :)

  • Comment removed

  • @Lilithly i think you are studying english to show off is it? That is how my mind absorbed the word you are trying to impose when you compared american english is easy to learn than british. When you communicate the important thing there is the message you are passing if it is properly relayed not how beautiful you pronounce every phrase like a brit. So you must study how to speak english beautifully not on how to communicate properly.

  • @ruvik0985 mhhh.you can understand it like that if you want to, but i obviously didn´t mean that. i can´t speak british english well, since it is really difficult. but learning american english is no fun. why would anyone learn english to show off? there are so many people that are able to speak it so it´s not really a big deal if you do speak it^^; did you learn american english or why did my comment upset you? :D

  • little bit confused..

  • Hi This is a good example of the interview, but I got some good tips from the voxguru videos, for speaking and writing. Thanks for posting this.

  • @FaDi1234567891011 all the very bestof luck for ur test,,,, i am also going to give ielts,,,,,,

  • her performance is ok

  • she speaks english very well, very confident!

  • If you speak like this how much band score are you going to get in speaking?

    just want to guess............

  • @lifesuckedme her response is very little and dull as she is not exploring it more so i guess 5-5.5 band what do u think?

  • @lifesuckedme I spoke with a bit of more emphases than she and i got 5.5, so i think this video is not properly true

  • @antuono it depends on which country you've done your IELTS in, generally speaking, the English Speaking Countries would have far higher IELTS standards and marking criteria compared to non-english speaking countries. I've a friend whom you could barely understand a word of English from, yet he had straight 6s across the test. That was done in Malaysia. I doubt he would have gotten anything higher than a 2 if he had done it in Australia or the UK.

  • @happynuts as you probably noticed i am from Italy and i dont think they consider this country like English Speaking so as you said they would have quite criteria. I just gave my experience, they seem to assess other things than your speaking skill. However in my opinion a Speaking Part would mean a debate of two people and not a monologue like it happens there.

  • @lifesuckedme she is talking smoothly she might have got more than 6 bands

  • @lifesuckedme she must got 7 probably 7,5

  • @lifesuckedme I think 5.5

  • Taking it in a month

  • i m pramod more , going to appear in ilets -speaking ,on 10-sept., in baroda . so, i feel quite confident., with god blessings., lets see tomorrow . 7dassa bfds

  • im taking this exam tomorrow

let the gods be with me

  • i think she is a filipina... because of the accent and i believe she passed the test..

  • i will have the ielts test next weekend, i hope i can get a good marks

  • she,s definitely Thai .very sweet and well prepared for her test.

  • yeahh anyone knows how many scores she got....

  • Coño no le cojo ni una palabra al señor. Y mañana tengo mi examen. :S

  • I had my IELTS last may 8 and got 6.5 bandscore. I am so happy 'cause I only need 6. God is really good for hearing my prayer. Hope you guys will get the bandscore that you needed. My english isn't good but I got 7 in speaking, the area which I'm really scared. You only have to speak continuously, even in a simple vocabulary. THat's what I did and I got 7.

  • Listening - 7.0

    Reading - 6.0

    Writing - 5.5

    Speaking - 6.0

    Overall Band score - 6.0.

    I'm lucky one )))

  • How we will know how much points she get for speaking test? and it really happen like this face-to-face?

  • i am going have ielts interview in 2 hours .......God help me

  • my turn is after 1 hour :( >>>>>>>>> :(

  • tomorow!!! :(

  • My English sucks all the time! I hate reading, and writing is so boring, listening is quite alright but I'm bloody nervous in speaking. I have my Ielts exam this May 8 and I'm not confident enough to take it. Pls God make me strong and give me wisdom to conquer this gigantic opponent. Help us all.

  • I am sure that you can pass the exam. Do not worry, you can do it.

Try your best and good luck!

  • @tuancoi1985 Thank you very much, I appreciate your advice. God bless.

  • Is that speaking-test real?

i always thought that IELTS was very difficult. The "interview" looks like performance, because the asked questions were too simple.

    Good luck to everyone participants!

    P.S.

And of course, this beautiful girl gas a very beautiful accent.

  • @Mickeemicz hahahhaha dont worry so much.ahah i remeber my time in speaking,i came in and the examiner thought i was crazy.. {one thing i tell you we got totally out of control speaking and we are ready to fight if man utd is better than arsenal}

  • I think it is just a demo. When I took speaking test about 9 years ago, my English was much worse, and my score was 8 (out of 9).

  • quite good, I think is a good score.. sorry but where r u from?..

  • @IWISHLA

thanks, I didn't know it was a good score, I thought it was an excellent score ;D

I was originally from Beijing, China. Mandarin is my 1st language.

  • @authentictony hahha! yes, sorry , hahha your score is very impressive!!! .. and, 8 was your total score of the IELTS, or just your speaking test score?

  • @IWISHLA

reading 5.5, listening 6, writing 8, speaking 8, all history now.

man, make sure you press "Post" button only once.

  • hahha! yes, sorry, your score is impressive!!! .. and, 8 was your total score of the IELTS, or just your speaking test score?

  • good

    NADEEM JOHN JATT PAKISTAN

  • I don't understand the use of these exams. It's just to make money from foreign students.

I'm pretty sure that if Bush and Palin took the IELTS they would perform poorly if not fail miserably.

  • yes , really..........stupid :D

  • she said she was a student"s" ^^

  • I think she is brazilian,

  • thanks for visdeo

  • helpfull for new student who want to give ielts ex

  • shes ridiculously calm for an oral exam- i would be nervy!

  • @richs23 It's not a real exam. It would be unfair & against regulations to video an actual exam. She probably won't be so calm in the proper exam. You'd be surprised how tense some people get.

  • good

  • oooww what a lucky girl

her questions are sooo easy xD

  • this is part 1. these are warm up questions. real ones are coming i part 2 and 3

  • She actually doesn't have a good pronunciation, i mean, she is definitely understandable, but shes got a thick accent

  • Im not sure if this helps anyone, but before coming to Australia I suggest you get in touch with an agency who can (free of charge) help organise your accommodation, do your University applications, assist with immigration documents and help you set up when you come out.

Here are a few Ive heard of

  • god bless me, i am going to have the IELTS test this weekend!!!

  • How did it go? Was it hard? I am considering to take the test myself. I have been trying to get certain score on TOEFL, with no possitive results after 7 times of taking it. I need any english test to get my nursing licence and I think that my english is OK. I just don't know what to do. Is there anybody who has the same problem?

  • hi

Ihave prepared people for both exams and Ielts is easier than Toefl. The marks tend to be higher too.

    good luck

  • @danseurpersan same thing here!!

  • Hi danseurpersan,

Try your best and You should keep your health until you going to take IELTS test.

    Have a good mark...

  • @danseurpersan Mine too!

  • @danseurpersan

    Best of luck...

  • @jojon96 thank you!

  • @danseurpersan goood luck :) MAY ALLAH help u

  • @johncena1841 thx man, the same to you, good luck!

  • @danseurpersan What band you earned in your IELTS?

  • @danseurpersan what country do u belong to and what band you earned

  • @danseurpersan how did you do?

  • was that academic or general training test?

  • My english had always been considered as "the best in the entire class". I attain 7.5 points in listening/writing/reading effortlessly. However, I'm extremely concerned with speaking section, since I suffer with speech delay problem, which manifests itself all the time even while speaking my native language. I wonder if examiners take such circumstances into account. I need only 6.0 points in speaking :(

  • @PinkZeppelin65 don't worry i am a native speaker and as long as you have the basics and listing you should do fine

  • Thanks for support! Just finished my exams. I was extremely unliky in speaking though, The interviewer turned out to be nearly 80 year-old and was unable to undestand what I was telling him. I don't expect more than 5.5 from him. Nevertheless I guess I did fairly well in overall, hoping to get 6.5-7.0 band score.

    All the best :)

  • @PinkZeppelin65 most of the people in the U.S probably would not pass the test

  • @PinkZeppelin65 if you have any medical condition that could affect your performance you should contact the examination center. They will need some evidence of this, eg a doctor's note, etc. This should be done 1 month before the exam. Hope it's not too late.

  • If you have any speech impediment in your native tongue you should contact the office who are administering the exam as soon as possible and at least 1 month before the exam. You will need to provide some official evidence, eg a doctor's note. By the way you should work on your tenses as the first two sentences in your posting are inaccurate.

  • Thanks. Actually when I learned about that opportunity it was too late. Although the generous examiner took these circumstances into account himself and gave me 7.5. As for overall band score, I received 8 points :)

  • @PinkZeppelin65 that's impressive. Well done!

  • her eng is good but she uses "S" behind most of the words...e.g. families, logics, its difference etc... i think, she would have got 6.0 or 6.5.

  • Besides, there are loads of asian people in Portugal.

  • Where they took this material? the normally dont record videos inside??

  • @gatoaristik this is an example interview, not an actual interview. It would not be fair to record an actual IELTS interview, as with any other exam. The timing is a bit suspicious for part 1 anyway; part 1 is 4-5 minutes.

  • How much did she get for speaking ?

  • I'm freeze up to take IELTS, my english is so poor, I really wish I'll improve this soon.

  • อยากเรียนด้วยจัง

  • hahahha smart

  • why more and more people study english nowaday?

  • 轻取~

  • You're stupid if you have watched this video and listened what he was saying and still asking is shes Filipino.

  • you're more stupid! SHE'S A SHE and not a HE. duh!!

  • that is what they call a proficiency level of speaking? I cannot believe this...

It is a basic chatting about basic things...

My students speak much better English than this girl, who should go and study a bit more of expressing thoughts in a more sophisticatd way...

I am sorry to say that....

  • Its IELTS, so it can be anything from beginner to near native speaker/proficiency. Don't apologise if that's what you feel, but it doesn't matter how sophisticatd (sic) she is, its the band score that she gets that's important - to her most importantly - and that she's being tested according to the rubric. What she says is up to her, especially as its only Part 1 of the test.

  • hi friends!

i am also looking for more ielts metrial have any one please help me .

  • Hello friends! I really want to speak English fluently because I am not a native English speaker. So, I would like to have an English friend to speak. Help me. And I plan to try IELTS. I really want

  • Hello, people. Speaking is relatively the easiest part. I was watching BBC News and talking English to my little bro (this is good way to enhance your pronunciation and confidence). Just remember to be natural and express your OWN opinion, don't lie when answering questions, otherwise you will get messed up. (imho) I've got 8, with overall 7.5.

  • I'm going to take it in 3 days.I'm kinda nervous about speaking part too...wish me luck!!!

  • all ,wish me good luck.going to take soon :D

  • hoping to be as lucky as you..i'll be having the exam this coming thursday, a bit nervous coz i stuttered when the actual interviewer is there...so help me God...
