  • Personal testimony: I was one of those who were beginning to be led astray by these "small cults" and then, by God's mercy, I ran across this brother's videos refuting their teaching. Praise God for your work, brother! I have been experiencing many blessings: more peace, joy,--- and thanksgiving! I found out the hard way that legalists don't thank God for a salvation that they are earning.

  • So, Enoch2, this is where I take issue..

I have a hard time believing ALL women are evil, When I look back through my life I see certain women going to extreme lengths to try to keep me on track. I have a hard time with what I see as a "screw the world" mentality stemming from a "Jesus died for my sins" justification system. I am not claiming all women are saints, and I am not claiming all christians are self-righteous egotists, I'm just watching the tides.

  • @fmy5 I don't think women are evil as compared to men, all men are evil too :)

As for self-righteousness, I see the opposite. 2 b a Christian you must have been convicted of your sin, that you don't have life in yourself, and can't save yourself. A Christian then BELIEVES the Gospel that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again for our justification. A Christian is fundamentally an undeserving person who will live forever in glory because of the lovingkindness of Jesus.

  • @E2 But Christ DOES say this world is evil--it is on a course governed by the devil, and so are all people who are not born again (Eph 2:2)! Even nature is in bondage to corruption (things tend inexorably to death). But Christ will change ALL this when He comes again to rule. So Christians actually have the perfect plan to fix the world, and right now that plan consists of growing in the Love of God and patiently waiting for Christ (2 Thess 3:5)! Some verses about the world next...

  • @E The world is "the man" that tells you, you have to buy this or that to be happy, you have to be somebody, you have to have the women, the car, the career, etc. etc., always more never enough.

It lies and keeps us down and we can't overcome it in our own strength. But one promise of God is that those who believe in His Son OVERCOME the world. See, the world is my enemy, and it hates me b/c Christ is in me. But I OVERCOME it b/c CHRIST is in me!! :) THAT is a massive daily blessing.

  • @E2 "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God." James 4:4, see also 1 John 2:15-16

See also John 7:7 and chapter 16 culminating in verse 33.

"For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?" 1 Jn 5:4-5

  • @fatherofmy5 The videos I was just uploading deals with the very issue of the struggle I experienced between self-righteousness and belief of the true Gospel! It's long but maybe you will be interested in it.

  • @Enoch2 I see the bible as manipulated. check out bible.cc

I believe in reincarnation, and I see what pollution from greed is doing to the Earth, this World. I see the ego almost masturbating to the destruction of this planet. And I see those very people causing the destruction wearing crosses and lining up for wars where the only possible winners could be major corporations. Which video were you refferring to? and have you seen the movie "Home"

  • @fom5 In my newest video, I go into the issue of the veracity of the Bible. The Bible uses the term "world" not to refer to the earth but to "the way of the world". Earth is not evil, though it is under God's curse because of sin. This curse is part of God's plan to redeem man (Rom 8:19-21). Look up the passage to see for yourself! (In it the word "creature" means the Creation.)

  • @Enoch2 Some people doing harm may wear crosses, and not every one who professes Christ is really a believer, but also you may be confusing support for troops or the country of one's birth and ideals with "warmongering". Nevertheless, God is calling you to faith in JESUS not faith in Christians.

    I haven't seen that movie.

  • @Harvesttime144 Nope, factually incorrect. I'm playing chess with a Cohen right now.

  • @Harvesttime144 Jews don't only come from Judah, go talk to some Jews. You should go back to the correct view of Israel--watch that video if you haven't already!

  • @Harvesttime144 Error about Israel is serious and leads to heresies and confusion about Scriptural prophecy. You should watch that video and maybe contact AbaloneKid, a wise elder. God will bless you if you humble yourself in this way.

  • @Harvest You didn't understand what I meant...Jesus is telling us He is going to cease to speak through an increasingly apostate church (professing Christians who have His Word, of mixed believers and unbelievers), so that the Gospel of salvation will no longer be heard there. Individuals are exhorted to repent and get saved before this happens. What is Laodicea? A group known by God. Is it/will it be identifiable by one of man's denominational or movement labels? Probably not.

  • @Harvesttime144 -Yes, and that edification comes from the completed Canon of Scripture.

  • @Harvesttime144 -You mean you going back to the English?

  • @Harvesttime144 That is replacement theology.

  • @Harvesttime144 -Ofcourse there is a gift of exhortation, no one is denying that. What isn't in operation is the gift of fortelling outside of scripture.

  • @Ht Re. this video, I don't believe it b/c it teaches loss of salvation, a false doctrine. When Jesus speaks of spueing the church of the Laodiceans out of His mouth, it is a CHURCH He is referring to, not individuals. This is shown by the fact that He uses the word "thy", the 2nd person SINGULAR pronoun to refer to them: "I know THY works" (Rev 3:15).

God is saying He will allow the church of Laodicea to depart from the true Gospel so they will cease to be a church.

  • @Harvesttime144 ISRAEL IS NOT THE CHURCH. Watch watch?v=mk6FWDz_II8 if you think it is, or even if you know it's not--it will strengthen you in the truth!

  • @Harvesttime144 -Also you might try Vines which states that the verb 'to be a prophet, to prophesy' is used (a) with the primary meaing of telling forth the divine counsels (Pg.492). STUDY to shew thyself approved, a WORKMAN that needeth not be ashamed..

None of you guys who run to the 'Greek' actually do any study but stop at Strongs when you find the definition you want.

  • @edwardpf123 I'm going to retract my position on prophecy to pure forthtelling of what is written, including interpretation and exhortation.

But as for Greek, I bought introductory materials a few weeks ago. And I am not even interpreting pareisago by means of putative roots: it's a compound word. It's the same as understanding the word 'undiscovered' by considering it as 'un-' + 'discovered'.

  • @Enoch2 -There is no more gift of prophecy as to pretaining to future events. When someone gives a prophecy of future events, he is speaking from scripture. In other words, there are no more prophets. Just as there are no more Apostles. There are only pastors and teachers.

  • @edwardpf123 Why can't you call someone who gives prophecy of future events from the Scriptures a prophet?

  • @Enoch2 -He doesn't have the gift of prophecy, he has the gift of teaching and is revealing what scripture teaches.

  • @edwardpf123 I think you'd have trouble proving that. I can't understand why we would be exhorted to covet to prophesy if it is a gift in abeyance until after the Rapture.

  • @Enoch2 -The exhortation to prophesy was to forthtell, that is interpret scripture. The context was tongues which was not for edification.

  • @edwardpf123 How come you can't say that someone who prophetically forthtells Scripture is a prophet? Anyone can speak the words but maybe if someone with the gift of prophecy does it, faith is communicated more effectively?

"But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort." 1 Cor 14:3

It's not only words that produce the above results but the spiritual power behind them, as the Kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. (1 Cor 4:20)

  • @Enoch2 -Because the gift of prophecy included foretelling direct revelation from God as well as forthtelling, what was written. The gift of teaching is now in operation and that is the gift that 'forthtells' what is in scripture. In Eph.4:11, there are now no more apostles and prophets because the Canon is closed. There are evangelists, pastors and teachers. So, the spiritual gift you are looking for is the gift of teaching, not prophecy.

  • @edwardpf123 I never even made it to the video yet...this was great out here

  • @edwardpf123 That's all rather neat...a little too neat if you ask me...but I don't want to deny too forcefully. But look at v.6, prophesying is differentiated from doctrine, knowledge, and revelation.

Overall it seems to me that things written about how to conduct church in 1 Cor are not written only to some tiny slice of time that was over before Paul was gone. Or that this must now have the somewhat stilted interpretation you give it for the rest of the Church age.

  • @Enoch2 I'm sorry maybe that wasn't too nice, but I do see you trying to collapse prophecy into teaching and I don't think that's right. Look at how after v. 6 immediately the Lord talks about a "distinction in sounds", that means (among other things) there is a distinction between revelation, knowledge, prophesying, and doctrine. It's like Heb 4:12, only someone well-studied knows the difference between soul and spirit. It's tempting to collapse them, that's what I mean by 'neat'.

  • @Enoch2 -Well, if you are going to keep prophecy as a spiritual gift, what about Apostles? The purpose of prophecy was to reveal what God had not yet revealed. With the completed Canon, it is no longer necessary, but the gifts of evangalism, pastoring and teaching are. Foretelling is over, forthtelling is part of the gift teaching and that is who prophesy.

  • @Enoch2 Prophecy. I love the bible.

Psalm 74:9 We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long

1 Corinthians 13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away

Hebrews 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds

Even Ba'al had his own prophets

  • @Enoch2 -However, you can say that he is prophesying, that is explaining future events.

  • @edwardpf123 I think it's the gift.

  • @Harvesttime144 -What I believe in is the English words of the KJB, which are a perfect translation of the Greek. As for the Greek, try learning some. Strong gives an incomplete definition. The Gringrich Gr. NT states-to proclaim or interpret a divine revelation. In Hebrew, the Brown Driver Briggs state that in later usage it meant 'essentially religious instruction.

So your opinion is based on inadquate information.

  • @Harvesttime144 -Prophesy-in scripture-to preach, to instruct in religious doctrines, to interpret christian doctrine or religious subjectst, to exhort

    (Websters 1828 dictionary)

  • You explain is perfectly! These false preachers take their twisted interpretation, which is not the word of God, and pass it on, contaminating the gullible and who does not know God's word... by doing so, these new believers do the same as their teachers.... on they go spreading this dark doctrine.

  • @Harvesttime144 Just to interject, I think there's a midway position here. That predictive prophecy can still function but as the Spirit-led forthtelling of Scripture to a situation. NOT new content because in that case, those words would be added to the Bible, which is exactly what we're talking about, privily bringing in...

For ex., the Roman Catholic church certainly could have been prophesied in advance by someone versed in the Scriptures (and with the gift of prophecy).

  • i FIND uTUBE AND CHRISTIANITY,VERY DISTURBING, i WONDER WHAT IS THE SIMPLICITY OF CHRIST THERE ARE 4 OR 5 DIFFERNT SIMPLICITYS ,THAT COME TO MIND. i WANT OR DESIRE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD,I ALWAYS HAVE AND HAVE EVEN PUT GOD IN MY MIND AHEAD OF FAMILY MY CHILDREN, MY OUN WELL BEING,I HAVE IN MANY WAYS DESTROYED MYSELF BY MYZEAL TO KNOW THE TRUTH, ,I AM VERY CONFUSED THE MORE I KNOW THE MORE CONFUSED, How the experts fight over the real truth,WHAT IS TRUTH,WHO IS RIGHT? WHO ARE THE TEACHERS?

  • @59Disciple Hi Disciple, the Teacher is the Holy Ghost, the Door is believing that Jesus saved you when He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. The 'condemned you' is dead with Him who died, the 'justified you' is alive forevermore (and this life is Christ in you!).

Do you believe this? (It is the Gospel) If so, don't let anyone pull you away from this, and you will not have confusion. Simply trust Jesus Christ.

  • Great video,Jonathan :) These "boshoff´s" will come out in abundance now so be ready. Time of darkness is at hand. But your gentle spirited videos bring light into the darkness for sure:)

May our Father in heaven strengthen you and give you wisdom and understanding beyond measure so you can cast down every opposition of the enemy. In Christ Yeshua´s name i pray,Amen <3

I wish all teachers would have your gentle spirit.

    Hi from Finland.

    Sasu

  • Hey neighbor. When you throw a rock into a pack of dogs, the dog that yelps is the one that got hit. I believe God is wanting to use you for His purposes, and that's why you are so afraid of the truth. May God give you the courage to walk into your calling in Jesus' name.

  • I agree with both of your messages. We are seeing so much deception with all the various 'movements' out there. They do lead people away from truth. And it is sad, seeing people following after others...not the Holy Spirit.

  • Amen! To speak prophecy after the completion of the Canon of scripture simply means to be forthtelling what the word says, not foretelling.

Also, Satan is multimarketing, creating small independent gods.

  • @edwardpf123 Haha, like a pyramid scheme.

  • @edwardpf123 Why does prophesy have to be foretelling or expounding on scripture? I have actually seen the real gift of prophesy in action, and it was neither of those.

  • @PizzaDisguise -Those are the two things a prophet did, he either foretold an event or was explaining something God said. And a prophet was tested on the accuracy of his predictions, if he didn't get it 100% correct, he was deemed a false prophet and killed.

It seems no modern prophets are willing to face that standard.

  • @edwardpf123 Part ONE: I thought I was up late, aren't you on the east coast? Or maybe you're an early riser :)

Let me explain myself. God knows the hearts of men, and by the gift of prophesy he can speak through someone for conviction or exhortation or consolation. It doesn't have to be predicting an event, and it doesn't have to be forthtelling scripture. It seems clear to me in 1 Cor 14, especially verses 24-25.

  • @ed Part TWO: For example, my mom went through like a decade where people (Christians, coworkers, her siblings and parents) just treated her really bad; she's a lovely lady, very gentle, always thinking of others. It was very strange thing.

To make a long story short, our family started attending a new church last year and the pastor at this new church called her out one Sunday, described the things that had been happening to her....

  • @ed Part THREE: ....told her that the Lord knew what was going on, that it was not from Him and it didn't please Him how she was being treated, and that he was going to bring loyal friends into her life. It was very encouraging to her and she was edified.

Now, you don't know me or my family or this pastor, but I'm just using this as an example of how believers can be edified by spiritual gifts. Hope this helps.

  • @PizzaDisguise -I am in Texas. What you discribe sounds to me simply as wisdom.

There are certainly individuals who are so mature that they can perceive things that others cannot. I wouldn't define it as a gift of prophecy, although there can be gifts such as helps, mercies, exhortation, giving, which the Lord gives to individuals to help those in the church.

  • @ed Oh ok. Well, I guess I would disagree with you on this.

Anyways, I love you guys out in Texas; we are dealing with a lot of the damage from the undermining of the Scriptures here in Oregon. I live in a college town and it is sad to see the LGBT flags popping up on the church doors. Keep us in your prayers.

  • @PizzaDisguise I am curious. I frequent the Brethen denomination.

What church are you attending? What is the denomination?

  • @AlYassou3Rabbi Part ONE: The Brethren denomination? I like your practice of love feasts, I wish everyone would do that. I'm actually attending a non-denom, but I'm not protesting against denominations.

  • @AlYassou3Rabbi Part TWO: There is no part two, my mistake.

  • @PizzaDisguise Lol!

  • @Enoch2 I know, I borrowed your habit of labeling my comments for easier reading and I must have gotten overzealous.

  • @Harvesttime144 See yt user erandonandied. :D

I was specifically addressing the false teachers who present their false teaching as having prophetic authority, which they then bring in alongside the Bible. This results in 2 Cor 11:4. But seeing as you have on more than one occasion spoken of the 'puff' prophecies as distracting from the SIMPLICITY which is in Christ, I notice the verse immediately B4 2 Cor 11:4!!!! Tells me that YES, the result of puff prophecies is antichrist!
