Loved this place when I went. Crashed a few times while learning the course but overall it was a blast! Also the ATV, and rock climbing trucks there were awesome to watch. Great video!
I am gonna be living in TN, Smoky Mtn PArk all this summer doing an internship with white water rafting river guide company. I def want to find some nice riding, and some folks to ride with!! Windrock looks like hella fun!!!! Ill be staying just south of gatlinberg.
Actually one of my friends has ridden at windrock on a Diamond Back 4" from Dicks... Granted he crashed alot and gained alot of respect for trying but its hella hard!!!
This trail is in Knoxville Tennessee. If you search "Windrock ATV Club" you can find some good info.
A 5 inch bike would be possible but it better be strong. I never see guys riding fast there with anything less than a 7inch freeride bike. Most riders run a full on DH bike.
I always rode my 7" Yeti ASX. A hardtail would be Hell. A short travel Freeride bike would work you but you could still have fun. A DH bike is the best bet. Windrock is real Downhill. The builders don't hold back.
Looks like a cross between a freeride and single track as opposed to a serious DH route.
