wow, They have updated this game HOW MANY TIMES? And the engines STILL sound like toys....... thats why I went back to MSTS

@joshmeister4449 I think some of the custom locomotives sound pretty good but the stock locos sound like crap except for the big boy, that sounds pretty good :)

@landicon you go back to surveyor and go into edit startup and in there is the option for only DCC mode only or cab mode so when you load it in driver it will start on that mode only.

just wondering i have the 2009 and the editor etc, well is it possible to have the cab controls as usual . like do i have to fiddle around with the settings when im in the editor

@landicon Sorry i don't know what exactly what you're talking about.

@HobbyTeen15 you know when you usually start a new session you get the choice of either the cab or the basic controls well when i make a custom route/session i always get the basic controls (4 buttons and a dial control) is there anyway to set it up so when i start it i'll be able to select the cab

Is the baldwin 4,6,0 already in the game or is it at the download station because I am getting the worlds builder edition in a week or two and I really want this engine. I am getting all the service packs with mine.

how do you make the train go faster becuase the speed limit is 40mph which is quite slow

@Whizzer1 i don't know how to change the speed limit on my route but either way you can go over the speed limit

If you hit the Y key when you're in the tracks tab, you can scroll through all the trackside objects. Type in sign speed in the search bar and you'll find plenty of different speeds. :)

@HobbyTeen15 40MPH is the DEFAULT speed limit on Trainz if you put (say) a 60MPH speedboard in front of your train it will go at 60MPH max until it reaches the next speedboard.

somebody has to drive steam trains in DCC mode? i dont know where r u from guys, but it isnt so hard... even in MSTS it is a challenge, but in TRS you dont have even to reduce reverser up to 0 when you are getting speed :/

Some people prefer building to using the trains. Sometimes it is more fun to just use DCC mode then to simulate.

I dont like driving trains in that mode... More-real is better in my opinion.. :) I like the challenge, that DCC mode cannot provide me :)

True but in cab mode, the sounds and other things are fucked up and some locos don't even work in cab mode. so in some ways dcc is a better simulation.

This is for anybody who wants to know. Minimum requirements: Windows XP or vista 1GB ram (XP requires service pack 2), pentium 4 2.2ghz or equivalent, 64mb 3d graphics card (nvidia geforce2 or equivalent), 2.55GB of hard drive space, directx9.0, directx9.0 orbetter compatable soundcard, mouse and keyboard.

Recommended reqirements in the same sequence: 2GB ram, intel core 2 duo or equal, 256mb ge force7 everything else is same as above.

Not many american engines(not stock). but there is a larger selection of eurpean steam engines.

I've always loved Trainz because you can control more than one train at a time.(I hear that you can't do this in Microsoft Train Simulator.) I'm so glad they've finally added in the ditch light flasher (:; key) that was put in on Trainz Classics.

The big boy is stock with the game just like trs2006. I like all the new features of the game, except one, this feature that syncronizes the big boy and stock steam locomotive sounds makes all downloaded steam locomotives that were perfectly syncronized in trs2006 out of sync in trs 2009
