@3windowcoupe haha, i just saw this for the first time, and the first thing i thought was that DD looked like Brian May...or vice versa! Cool vid, though. Thanks for sharing!
Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello, Lori Loughlin, Tommy Hinkley. Connie Stevens, Fishbone, Don Adams, Bob Denver, Alan Hale, Jr., Edd Byrnes, Jerry Mathers, Tony Dow, Barbara Billingsley, Dick Dale, Stevie Ray Vaughan, O.J. Simpson, and Pee-wee Herman, and more.
EVERYBODY is in this video... Annette with Skippy peanut butter, Gilligan and the Captain, the Beaver's big brother Wally... really funny background. This IS Dick Dale's song.
@Tonithenightowl -Dick is touring the north east right now.He is an amazing man. He,s had cancer 3 times.Beat it every time so far.The drummer in his band is his sin Jimmy.
@richmid1 My goodness he must be close to 70. Good for him. Glad to see he's still playing. I think it's safe to say the man never had a "day job" lol. He never needed one. :o)
@Tonithenightowl -Dick is 76 now.His son Jimmy is 20.In the 60,s & 70,s he was huge in California.Went away for a while after a nasty divorce. The movie Pulp Fiction brought his music back to a new generation of fans.In Calf.,if you go ibto a bar-they all have a CD called Pulp Fiction -his song Miserlou is on it but it,s called Honey Bunny. It starts with part of the sound track from the movie. It,s great..
@richmid1 I will look it up. I did see the movie and loved the music. He didn't have a kid till he was 56? Wow!!! I had my first grandchild at 55 and pissed and moaned it didn't happen sooner lol
@Tonithenightowl That CD is probably available in the stores. It,s called " Pulp Fiction"-it has all of the music from the movie on it.Dick,s son Jimmy is one of those child prodigy,s. I,ve seen him on television a couple of dozen times over the years. He play,s guitar just as good as his Dad.He,s one of the best drummers out there. You can go into a music store and buy a drum set custom designed by Jimmy.Guitars too-I think him and Dick have 2 guitars apiece with thier names on them.
@richmid1 I didn't know about his son. Sounds like the apple didn't fall far from the tree. An excellent drummer and guitarist is hard to find, he must be very talented. I will see if I can get something up on Jimmy on Youtube. Thanks for the heads up. :o)

Just noticed that Stevie is playing an ultra-rare 1980 Jimi Hendrix prototype strat...only about four of them ever made.

I just love that tone with generous reverbe, huge strings old fender amps probably with 15" JBL speakers.
I saw Dick in a tiny club in Marin and what a showman! He even signed my old Strat after the show while kissing a beautiful blonde fan!

It simply does not get any better than this. God rest Stevie Ray and I hope Dick Dale is still playing guitar. Phenomenal talents. Bar none.
