Actually, most countries, uncluding the UN and muslim countries support Israel. They do think Israeli reaction is too aggressive but they definitely agree that Hamas brought it on themselves.

The reason it is as aggressive is because Israel didn't lift a finger in the past 8 years when it was contiously bombed by Hamas, trying to respect a cease-fire instead of retaliating.. though the cease-fire was broken time after another by Hamas.
