@william93848 Because that would be impossible. The mirage comic revolved around violence and revenge, it was never intended for younger people. Both cartoons were created to sell toys, so they had to be pushed at toy buyers A.K.A. kids.

@psychedashell Then again, NECA made some comic-acurate toys. They're a lot more expensive, but as you said the comic's more for teens and adults, so they can afford them more. Unfortunately, NECA lost the license when Playmates picked it back up to capitalize on Nick's new cartoon, but fortunately, Nick is also coproducing Eastman's new comic, with the same tone and designs as the Mirage original but different continuity, so there's a chance Playmates will start producing the comic toys again

I mean I loved the original, but I always found it difficult to swallow that Splinter started out as a rat with enough smarts to learn a fighting style by copying his owner, the new continuality gives him the smarts, he's genetically modified, but who does he learn off to become a master and teach three turtles in fifteen months?

In the comics, Splinter DID copy his master's movements...as for your other problems, you have no problem with how silly and unreallistic the old toon was, so you put your sense of disbeleif aside and enjoy the 2003 show

The 80's cartoon despite being goofy and having huge plot holes actually readressed the Splinter question in a way that made sense. I just wish they'd gone with that origin story for Splinter rather than the rat to human one. Hamato Yoshi the ninja prodigy became a rat monster just works better in my opinion.

Iwatch it online, but I grew up with a very thretaneing and cruel Shredder not A The original Sleet and Dingo duo. Il ove teh 2003 Shredder and Scottie Ray was the perfect voive actor.

What I don't like about the 2003 ninja turtles is that they put them on steroids. I mean think about it, they're bigger, buffer and look at Rafael! he's a lot more aggressive and violent! I'm sure he's had domestic disputes with April plenty of times!!

I personally liked the old series better as I grew up with it, but my favorite designs I hate to say are the ones from the TMNT movie! I didn't like the humans (they looked too Dreamwork's designs, but the turtles themselves were excellent! )
