swimming is based on times and to qualify you must not only meet a countries qualifying time but also an olympic standard so if there are no black people who can meet those times they are unable to swim
its not racism.. it has nothing to do with that... swimming is a sport just like any other and probly one of the hardest and one of the ones that requires the most dedication... you dont chose people to compete based on their race but on their ability.... you have to qualify to go by the wayyy... :/

What rubbish! Cullen Jones is black and he won a Gold medal with his white teamates! So there ARE good black swimmers! Ever heard of Anthony Ervin? He was a Gold medalist in Sydney!Swimming isn't exactly a cheap sport either! Those suits cost hundreds of dollars! What's cheaper? Playing basketball on a free court or paying $500 for a LZR to swim? You decide! Sometimes it's not about colour of the skin but the cost and opportunities provided in a sport! Stop being racist!
I love swimming. But I'm always disappointed that you can't see black swimmers and why??? Isn't it racism??? Even the US and Zimbabwe always send white swimmers and why???

in beijing when US won the 100X4 relay, they had black swimmer.
i dont get your point, its not about racism.
i guess there r no black swimmers that good to swim at high levels.

second, u can't say "there are good black swimmers", and give 2 examples.
when i say there r no good black swimmers i dont mean there are 0 black swimmers.
relatively to white guys, there are no good black swimmers.
same as tennis - no good black tennis players (1).

It's something about the physics... The bones and muscles of black people are stronger but heavier.
Black swimmers are slower because of that... but that's also why they're better in athleticism.
