@LoneAidenPryde Thors are easy to counter. Go mutas to haraas the terran economy since his army moves so slow and use the magic box technique when the thors get too close. And from the video, roaches actually do pretty well vs the thors.

They could lift the queens walking impediment off creep and lower her hit but change her infusion to auto like medics. That would make fighting those mech walls without baneleens or a swarm of lings and mutas reasonable, and then you wouldn't be throwing almost twice the minerals away in a shorter time span leaving you further and further behind. .

What does that matter when you can match their output on 3 bases1 yellow min with 2 bases + mules, wtf? Thor is insanely op, air + land is overkill, in the game they say "thors sux @ air" but online they even have long range air splash damage w/are you suppose to counter with & not lose more minerals than them overall?

@Slip819 The problem is you can't, so in that case having more bases then them doesn't mean anything other than, you're simply losing more slowly. People think that zerg have 'throw away units', not really it doesn't take playing zerg long to realize that you go through minerals and especially gas much faster *b/c* you have to build twice as many units to counter one of theirs, they're cheaper, yes, but not cheap enough vs. the new swarm a mech wall-o-death fueled by mules and repaired on the go

i think this build needs another support unit for the thors at least against roaches helions dont seem to be very effective in either killing them or serving as a meatshield for the thors. maybe going less heavy on the helions and getting some more tanks earlier would of helped or even mixing in some marauders. Even though it worked i think the terran player lost alot more thors than he should of in the process.

Interesting as always.Maybe cella should have gone broodlords.They are pretty good against big things and broodlings could have screwed the Thors A.I.

The problem is that Thor as a high tech unit is so much better than Ultralisk,so you basically have to go with mid,low tech units to kill Thors,where Terran is good at countering zerglings and others with Hellions.

He really took a lot of damage from those seige tanks in that final battle there. He didn't have much built to counter that many seige tanks, and the thors were able to basically hold off that zerg army while the seige tanks pummelled away at them.

Lings? Hellions > lings, hydras are also light. Infestors die quickly enough especially with few units. Mutalisks then? Mmh thors deal with that nicely. Broodlord is too far tech yet. Ultra? perhaps, but that would require a lot of tech which he didnt have. Banelings? Nah. Whats left? Roaches.

Great Mech showcase, but again I'm not overly impressed by CellaWerra. Not gewtting any upgrades until way late in the game, throwing away alot of units by counterattacking, after he held off a terran push and not exploiting the fact that the terran mech ball is exceptionally slow (with Muta harass f.e.) only leaves him with awesome macro, which is the reason why he didn't lose after the first push. Typical mechanic macro Zerg. I'd like to see more creativity with Zerg.

@vd853 because those "flamey thingys" (hellions) stop the thors from being overrun by zerglings. believe it or not, zerglings counter thors because they attack in huge numbers and overwhelm the slow firing thors. the hellions counter zerglings because of their huge damage bonus vs light units and AoE. the hellions kept the zerglings off the thors while they did their damage. otherwise zerglings could have overrun both the thors and those beautiful tanks. the tanks were just supporting fire.

At 0:40, the SCVs running away.. I never get why people dont split up their fleeing units. If you have a group of units running from a larger force, why run them home to the base? That way the enemy gets to kill all your units, and also is conveniently placed in your base so he can assault other things. Split up your forces, run them off to remote places instead.

I've never gotten into SC simply due to the fact that I had no idea what it was, but I really enjoy Real-Time Strategy games(played a lot of Age of Empires back in the day) and I've been looking for a good PC game. Is it worth picking up? This looked interesting and the graphics are really nice.

This is Starcraft 2. It's very easy to distinguish the difference between the two as the first is oooold. :p

If you enjoy RTS, this is the next big one and will definitely be worth picking up. Starcraft may be old, but it still has a very dedicated and very large following of players, due to just how good it is. I suggest you look into it some more so you can get excited. :3

I'd like to see a video where, against a T player, CellaWeRRa attempts to tech up to Brood Lords when his opponent goes mech build. It's the only thing that I can see that will really be able to combat this army (maybe ultra/roach as well). Of course, the challenge will be in keeping his roach count high enough to defend until his brood lords can pop, since they are a costly investment. Making generous use of Roach burrow movement may help, though, as T must sacrifice OC for PF, since thor=slow.
