@blzbug242 This has a funky vibe to it. As electro is short for 'electronic' music, to add funk/house/pop etc after helps distinguiish. Personally, I dislike electro house, but love electro-pop (Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Human League, Hurts, Pet Shops Boys etc) and electro-funk (this stuff, Grand Master Flash, Newcleus, Cybotron etc)

I remember back in the day - when a real Dj would mix the #$@#$# out of a track on (4) Turntables and never miss a beat - In fact if the Dj had real skillz you wouldn't even know where he came in & out of the mixes - The music would just Flow on Forever -

My man, I'm about your age and we gotta learn to move and accept what is new. I've been mixing for about 25 years and no matter what type of media you use it still takes skills to mix the right songs together in-sync. No software can do that for you perfectly plus people don't really care what you use as long as its mixed well. Just a thought. But, I do hear what your saying.

@drboot what are you saying is true, but imho no point in blaming them: it's like old special effects in old films: they were good at the time, but with newer technology they can be much better; so a real dj with a laptop can reach perfection levels that were unthinkable just some years ago

@MrLokification yeah but some special effects from the past are still better than a lot of today's full cgi effects, ie: that Bjork 's lesbian android video from the 90s, star wars, 2001 space odyssey, etc. But i understand your point, midi controllers and beat machines are more fun and expressive to dj than cueing up vinyl records. Mixers and turntables are becoming redundant thanks to pre editing on ableton and mixing w/ DVS.
