  • Very Nice! A really pretty voice singing it softly (a young women maybe?) would be wonderful. Not enough people sing this song. I remember the Irish Rovers sang it on their CBC Television show. That was like in the 70's. There many versions of this tune on YT and it would be nice to see people use them for backing tracks and sing along. Kinda like karaoke. I suck at singing, so I'm out. :)

MyrennaSedai .. Thanks for the info / explanation.

  • Chomh déas..chomh àlainn...

  • Very nice.....I love this tune.

  • It's neither dulcimer or guitar -- it's a Clarsach, the name for a folk harp. Different from a classical harp as accidentals are operated by levers rather than pedals, and they tend to tinkle rather than boom (don't jump on me for exceptions to this, there are many, but it's just a simple description :P).

  • Have been looking for this song for some time now... I'm really glad I have found it. It reminds me of my mother... <3

  • no wonder why I love celtic music!!!!!

  • Magic Sound. But I think it isn't played on a normal guitar.

  • @bathory1234567890 sounds very much like it's played on a harp to me :)

  • Is this being played on a dulcimer?

  • What a beautiful song! I don't understand why crap on the radio is the mainstream, and this is not... it makes no sense at all.

  • Nice slideshow, and rendition of this song.

  • Beautiful music and very beautifully done presentation!

  • Great slide show and music...love it!
