@RoudyRaccoon haha could explain why there was a vehicle fire. I was asking because I've never seen them before. None of our units have them around here.
The intersection at the bypass and S. Main was undergoing a huge reconstruction. Too many workers, equipment and the left turn from S. Main onto the Bypass was closed.
We tried the Bypass route a couple of times with responses. The D/O would have to go down to the 11 S., NB merge ramp to go north on the Bypass. A very hard and dangerous left turn and roadway angle to hit.
Going through town is much more fun anyhow, ya know!
I may be Attending VMI next year and am already a NY Certified Volunteer FF, and will be attending EMT school shortly. Would you know if this department accepts New York interior Fire Fighter and EMT certifications? Does this Department have a web site?
As somebody that's been both with CO. 9 and through VMI let me tell you worry about the Ratline, then worry about coming and running with us... the ratline takes all you got and more, and like Lexmedic157 said, I wouldn't advertise too much
Why take the long route ... Why not out Rt 11 S > take the by-pass left on Rt.60 and you would be at the scene?????

@CCFRPUMPER111 They strapped cardboard wings to the side and added a plastic propellor, mans first attempt at firetruck flight failed...

Hey Rat, what's your name? I'm the cadet in Charge of the FIre Department in Lexington.

Holroyd, Christopher D.

You're in charge of the fire department in lexington?! Wow, you mean the arsonists and the slack-jawed thieves voted a cadet to be chief?
navyavi469 3 years ago
The Cadets have a leader chosen among them. No fire dept. authority other than acting as a liasion between FD Command and the Cadet contingent.
As for your other comment. Naaa, the LFD was rid of its slack-jawed arsonist thieves when you left.
Keep safe.

Word to NEdrumMajor1, don't advertise your matriculation too much, they'll hunt you down when you get there. You'll get to join the FD one day.
lexmedic157 3 years ago
I'm going to matriculate at VMI this August and I'm also a fireman in my own home town. Can't wait to get to Lexington!
