If someone could help me out I would appreciate it. I'm looking for the name of a song but don't know artist or lyrics, all I know is that in the video their is a singer sitting backwards on a chair with the other members standing behind him and I think he is wearing a denim jacket. The only thing i remember is the word 'baby'in the lyrics/chorus or title. I think the song is from the late 70's/ early 80's
I turned 19 in 1980 married in 81 - the best years of married life - - we have been married for 30 yrs and I can honestly say we loved the music from the late 70's and all of 80's. Both of our boys even enjoyed from that era also - one born in 85 and 2nd born in 88. Thank you for awesome mix of music....
How on Earth do you get through four of these things without a single mention of Duran Duran?! Normally, I'm not one to criticize someone else's playlist. I just think this is a major oversight. Other than that, these videos were enjoyable little snippets of the past. :0)
Very good choice but Queen's 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' came out in October 1979 so it's technically not an 80's classic (although the album it was released on called 'The Game' is an 80's album).
Una de las mejores recopilaciones..muy buen trabajo, con lo dificil que es compilar tanta calidad en tan poco tiempo.Faltan muchas, pero estan tb muchas..MUUY BUENO JEJJE
yeeeeaaaaahh, thats cool music, the 80's, when the music was true music, when the music was awesome, enjoyable, I wish to live that years again, but now, the world of the music is nothing but garbage since jonas brothers and justin bieber began to sing, they're nothing but shit
Wow, that was a trip. I did notice though imo I thought it was getting better and better, like 50 or 60% of those songs were really good. Times have fucking changed that's for sure. Music is not the same as it was in the 80's and early 90's and even some of the 70's.
@theejordan24 ...This song is Called "Come On Eileen" by the group 'Dexy's Midnight Runners', if I Remember Correctly! Which I'm Pretty SURE I DO! 8^)
What's current on the radio is MUCH WORSE than the '80s sound- overuse of Autotune, poor songwriting, too much advertising (this applies to entertainment in general), the decline of print, and no more physical singles! Many '80s songs had a mix of real and electronic instruments which I thought was cool, not the ProTools of 2000 and beyond. Even the gangsta rap of the '90s is better than todays music! :(
I read that the 80s are now considered to be the greatest decade for teens and young adults. Music was one extremely important part of our lives. That is why the music scene was so vast and good! Frankly, having being one of the many fortunate ones who lived through the decade, I can honestly say that such consideration is true. Personally, I could not and would not change if for anything. A decade that made us feel so alive!!!
@gal80s I was born in 1970, thank goodness! I adored growing up as a teen in that decade! Ohhh how I miss those days and hearing the music playing while swimming in the lake or just sitting around a bon fire with friends! I feel so young when I listen to the 80's music! Wow..Im really surprised that its not come back! How can anyone say that they dont like it or know at least one song from then? Blows me away!
@Peace2yaa I feel just like you. When I listen to 80s music I feel as if time had not really passed. It brings me back and a positive feeling comes over me. It is the type of music that compelled you to get in touch with your emotions -- happiness, sadness, etc. etc. It was music that made you get involved with yourself (get to know yourself), and become a part of the rest of society. Am I right? Cheers!!!
There were so many good tunes in the 80s it's hard to pick the best. I'm just glad I had the opportunity to be 16 in 1983 and live thru that era at the age I was :-)
When Duke Ellington died in '74 he took much of the world's supply of cool with him. Then we baby boomers got hold of what was left and we just used it all up. By 1990 or so there was no cool left for the new kids.I feel sorry for the little bastards. Pop music has been just so much suckage for the past 20 years.
Sorry about that kids.
Lady Gaga was much better the first time, back in the 80s, when she went by the name Madonna. She was fleshier, fresher and sexier.
So you think the 1980s sucked and you'd prefer ANY other decade over the 80s?
Fine.
You choose; you can have the 1590s, or the 1340s, the 80s (as in the actual first 80s, not 1980s) or maybe you'd prefer the 1910s with WW1 or possibly the decades with the Black Plague.
Wake up, the thousands and thousands of decades before the 1950s were REALLY bad times to live in, you'd have the 1980s any day over any pre-1950 surely!?
I think I only didn't know like 5 songs ... I could name all the others, some even before the music started, just from the first frame of the clip (like Money for Nothing)
What a great compilation. I am an 80s child and this has brought back some wonderful memories. Whatever happened to music when it hit the 90s? It couldn't compete, just like the trash being played these days which rely upon "samples" of 80s tunes. Oh the irony! Many thanks for the brill nostalgia trip.
@ForrestFire470 you're right, this is real music, it would be disrespectful if somebody compare this gold and TRUE music with garbage like justin bieber, I hate the current music, I wish had lived the full 80s, but unfortunately I born late (in 1988)
@crackermoves thanks, the best music will be in the 80s forever, and about the garbage in the current music, yesterday I saw something that makes me angry: miley cirus murdered the poison's classic master piece every rose has his thorn with an awful cover made by her!!!!!!
