We used to have a Krispy Kreme right next to the In 'N Out near where I live, and frankly, I was unimpressed. Compared to the local doughnut shops, they were bland, to me. I will admit that a doughnut fresh off the line is quite tasty, but you have to get there right as they open to get that. Any time after that and the cooling robs them of the taste. I'd rather just get some glazed doughnuts from one of the local businesses.

I love my krispy kreme shop close to my house, everytime i go there they give me a free doughnut for me and and my brother and then we buy 2 dozens of glazed doughnuts. I think it's so sad that people think these things are great. Not doughnuts, but KK's version.

It's because good, independent doughnut makers aren't around anymore. In the '70s you could go to nearly any doughnut shop, and you'd find a flavorful doughnut. KK has no taste. Even the sweetness doesn't have taste.

Sorry, I can't describe the way they used to be, but I miss a good doughnut.
