  • Do we only protect the dust jacket? What about the actual hardback cover as well? The edges which are not protected by the jacket can get dirty as well isn't?

  • @nnial I'm a bit new in the books world, but I made some ressearch, what's bad for a book is too hot, too dry, too damp... if you were to put some sort of protection to the book itself, which is made of several things, leather, glue, etc, it would weaken the book over time, you would be in the "too dry", scenario. The dust jacket is protected because you often end up toring it bit, which eventually gets worse and worse. I'm looking for this thing btw in the video, where do you buy this ?

  • I can't see how much cover you have on the sides, or is there none at all?

  • Good video, but would've been better with sound, imo.

Is there a certain way to tape the jackets after applying the clear cover to keep them from coming off of the book? I've seen it done at libraries before, but can't remember exactly how they were taped. Thanks.

  • tape is not archival and may eventually discolor the book cover.

and if you do this correctly it doesn't come off.

the trick is not to have ANY wiggle room.

    thanks for watching!

  • I'm not sure if it's my computer, every other video works fine but this one has no audio. Picture plays after full video has loaded but no sound.

  • it may not have any. sometimes i don't record a VO - when it is self explanatory.
