Thats why I've always thought it would be cool to be someone like JK Rowling. Many people don't know who she is and most don't know what she looks like. But whenever she feels like it, she can drop this down: "I created and wrote the Harry Potter Books". Very cool.

How ironic that a lot of people are great fans of Joan Jett for breaking the way for women in the sexist male dominated world of rock, and yet put down Roseanne for breaking the way for women in the still sexist male dominated world of comedy. It seems like they learned NOTHING from Joan Jett about female empowerment and that absolutely makes them hypocrites. No replies to this message will be read, won't waste my time.

BTW, the negative comments are more aimed at Roseanne using the past tense when referring to Jett. Jett is still going strong, and if Roseanne had done her homework, she'd have known that. This is probably why her show failed...

Joan Jett Rocks!! Whether she has a head of hair or a buzz-cut, she is gorgeous and a great American! She is a trailblazer and one of the hardest-working women in rock. She & the Runaways deserve to be inducted into the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame!

Joan Jett was cute, naughty looking and played music that appealed mostly to guys. Here she talks about how she wanted to attract girls to her shows. But they were not there. Her appeal was to guys. Life has a cruel sense of humor. Speaking of which, Roseanne doesn't seem to really have one. In this video, Rosanne shows that she can't even do an interview because she can't shut up and let Joan Jett respond to the questions.
