I think this agressiveness is just what's needed. Maybe, if Democrats had exhibited some stones prior to this, like in 04, we would not have had 3 trillion in debt, a collapsing economy and a war in Iraq that continuies to cost us 10 BILLION A MONTH. Maybe this agressivness would have protected our civil liberties, our standing in the world and allowed the iompeachment of Bush & Cheyney to proceed!

Yes, the left is invested in defeat. Maliki, in the process of setting up a Status of Forces Agreement with the US (the UN mandate ends in Dec) may ask for the US to leave in 2011, or 2012 or 2013 if Iraq is PEACEFUL, but it doesn't change the fact the left IS interested in a US defeat in Iraq.
