I completely agree with you here, just had one tonight. It's really sitting on the boundary of being undrinkable, I had to force one down. About halfway through it I got some flavor, mostly cinnamon for me. But you're right fake tasting and just plain bad.

yeah southern tier pumpking, but that might be hard to find. i will be reviewing that one soon. i guess it depends where you live. wolavers makes a good one, and dogfish head makes a good one as well. post road and saranac also make very good ones. and i persoanly love shipyards pumpkinhead.

Glad to see you back in the swing of things. I agree with your review 100%. Ive had 11 pumpkin ales this season and I thought this was the worst of them all. Its just a bad beer.

I think Chad was right; this was a better brew last year. I still didnt like it too much but I remember it being spicier than this years.

A great review for a beer thats hard to swallow.

PS, I tried Schneider Weisse (Original), now my new gold standard for Hefes. Thanks for the recommendation.

That's funny how you hated it but I reviewed this last year and I remember liking it. Of course I didn't have quite the frame of reference that I have now.

I definitely want to re review this this year. Maybe we should do a dual review of it because I might like it and you wouldn't and we could bicker lol.

Also pumpkin beers started back with the pilgrims. They're not a new invention
