After playing "The Cave" at Cité de la Musique in Paris...with images by his wife beryl korot...we talked for 45 mn..and I had the chance to show him some of my "self-indulgent" works...He liked it very much and told me about his learning years...(berio, milhaud, etc...and copland...)...
I do not have anything to prove to you"popsdizzy"...i was just a lil bit tired with unconstructive comments...
I think it s not dumb at all, even if it is annoying to look for an interview and find out a piece (of music, audiovisual or whatever), it seems smart the way that a speech over american music, american sound, america identity... has been deconstructed.
It takes some time and effort to build this up. The only "but" for me is the tittle: Maybe something like "Copland 1980 by VicLowental" will cause less frustration to people who are really looking for an interview…
YUCK!

I was looking for an unadulterated interview with Copland... but I still enjoyed this! Nicely done pitch-matching.

Steve Reich wouldn't waste a great interview with such self indulgence.

He would have...(in his early years when searching) but you just wouldnt have been able to see it because youtube wasnt existing...
and as a matter of fact I have shown him that video...and he loved it...
That means you were so much wrong with your comment...
